I'm Yours

Hunter was very cautious speaking to me. He made sure not to spill whatever he was hiding from me. My mood was always split into two because I knew he was hiding something yet he created a picnic for us in the backyard and I swoon.

He was very good at keeping me on my toes and I didn't like it one bit.

We sat on the soft beige blanket and I pop a strawberry into my mouth. "I'm sorry it's not how you've imagined things, but I will do everything I can to keep you happy," Hunter's sweet words resonate in my mind and I can't help but smile.

I've never had a real boyfriend before. I never felt the connection like I did with Hunter. I know it was all due to my wolf side and I manage to try and snag a human but it wasn't the same. Sure I've had a few sexual endeavors but not to the point where I no longer had my V card. Hell no.

But looking at Hunter right here, it felt so right. My body felt relaxed and I wanted this moment to last forever. I haven't said a word yet but I feel like right now would be the best time to speak up.

"Nothing ever felt right in my life until this moment," I blurted. I meant to ask about my past, ask about him, and ask about a bunch of other things that's been circling my brain. But that's what I said. And I meant it.

His eyes twinkle and a huge smile plasters on his face. He reaches for my face, his hand going to cup the back of my neck. He slowly pulls me in and I don't resist. Our lips meet softly and he stays like that for a good second. It wasn't sexual, it wasn't crazy, but it was sweet and soft. Almost like Hunter was trying to savor it. I loved it.

His lips on mine made my skin tingle in a good way and I feel like floating on cloud nine. Shortly after that, we finished the rest of the fruit and sandwiches that Hunter had made for us. When walking back to the house, I could hear chatter from the kitchen. Hunter says to follow him and when I did, I saw Dylan and Anna.

I tried to smile but it soon faded when Anna gets up to leave. I look over at Dylan, waiting for him to make a move but he just stared at me as he held a bowl of soup. Hunter was busy putting things away from the picnic. The tension in the room seemed to grow but I ended up leaving the kitchen just like Anna. If Dylan wasn't going to say anything, I wasn't either.

I walk into my room and ignore the pang of hurt that hit my heart. I miss talking to them.  I wish I could talk to Anna and spill everything that I'm feeling. It'd fix nothing though. Everything that I'm feeling could be solved by knowing the truth. And that wasn't something either Anna or Dylan could do for me.

I slump down on the bed and stare the blank ceiling. This was so dumb. I could've just ran away or something. I should've been smarter.

Just then, the door opens up and Hunter pokes his head through. I motion for him to enter as I sit up.  He stands in front of me and looks down. He knew what was happening and he didn't say a word. Hunter knew that I only wanted one thing and I was getting exhausted of asking. At least for today.

He tucks a strand of my hair behind my ears and gives me a kiss on the forehead. It did very little to calm my nerves fully but it relaxed me into his hold. Hunter holds me against himself and rubs my back soothingly. He knew that that was all he could do. It frustrated me to the core but I couldn't keep pushing forever. What was I suppose to do?

After a while, Hunter and I were cuddling into bed. I was grateful for him to leave me in my thoughts as I thought about everything and nothing at the same time. Although today was great, meeting more people and getting to know Hunter's life, I still felt like there was something missing.

My head lay on Hunter's chest as he brought his fingers under my chin to lift my head up and make eye contact with him. His eyes were almost pitch black and I couldn't read his emotions. My eyebrows furrow in confusion but a slight tingle in between my legs told me he was feeling giddy.

"I wanna mark you," Hunter's says huskily as he rubs his thumb on my cheek. Before I could even respond, he slams his lips onto mine and I don't stop him. His kisses were hungry for something and he flips me on my back. His lips find their way down my chin and to my neck. He kisses a certain spot, the spot where he was supposed to mark me. As he kissed it, my body went into overdrive. I wanted nothing more than for him to sink his teeth into me and make me fully his.

I moan a yes and that was all it took for Hunter to reveal his canines and mark me. I let out a scream of pleasure as I feel Hunter and I become one. I hug him close to him as he licks the spot. The wave of pleasure slowly crashing.

"You're mine," Hunter lowly growls into my neck. He comes back up and meets my eyes.

"I'm yours," I smile at him.
