I made sure not to run too far, knowing damn well I'd be lost again and probably stumble onto someone else's pack. I'm not making that mistake again. My muscles scream at me to take a break. Looking up at the sky, I notice that I have been running for a few hours. Another few more and it'd be sunset soon. I should start heading back...

My nose stops me when I smelt a delightful scent in the air. It reminds me of tulips and to my curiosity, I lightly jog towards the smell. I reach a meadow full of tulips with other flowers and a pond sitting in the middle. It looks straight out of a book or a drawing or a painting, you get what I mean.

The pond litter birds that flew by and stopped for a drink. The sun seems to shine in this area and I lay myself down in the grass, basking in the light. The serene feeling that this place gave me felt freeing. It was my own little hideaway spot and I wanted to stay here forever.

Who knew? Anna and Dylan? Why would they keep this from me? More importantly, why would Anna play as my friend knowing damn well she was messing with brother in bed. Why would he choose Lilly as some sort of replacement? Was Anna okay with that?

Questions fill my brain to the max again and I grew dizzy. I wish I could stop thinking just once. I lay my fat head on my paws and watch the birds fly aimlessly around the meadow. The soft breeze cooled me down as I lay there, daydreaming.

My head props up from my paws when I suddenly hear rustling noises from the trees across the pond. I level myself to the ground again, this time in a position ready to attack or run. I keep my breathing slow, making sure that I was as quiet as a mouse. I wait to see if anything or anyone would come out. A blue eyed light brown wolf's head pops up from the bushes. I froze in my spot, to knowing how to react. He definitely saw me and probably picked up on my scent. I just hope this wasn't one of the wolves that wanted to take my abilities. I didn't even know anything about it except that I had amazing healing properties but sucks when I'm in my human body.

The wolf disappears and my mind questions why. I stand up fully, hoping to catch a glance of it but to no avail. He was gone. My eyes widen as I realize this was my chance to escape. I slowly stalk out of there and start to turn around when a voice shouts from behind me, chilling me to my bones.

"Stop!" The voice commands me and I'm frozen in place. It was another alpha. I turn back around to face him and was shocked to see human man standing in front of me. He had soft blue eyes and a grey facial hair. He was bald which reminded me of a shiny bowling ball. Curse my thoughts.

"Who are you?" He asks.

Does he really think I could speak to him in this body? I shake my head, hoping he'd understand. He answers my thoughts as he nods in understanding. He thinks for second before saying, "Shift."

My eyes widen, not feeling comfortable with the choice. I ripped my clothes when I foolishly ran out of the house and shifted. I shake my head yet again, in hopes that I wasn't refusing because I didn't want to, but because I couldn't. This time, he didn't understand.

"Shift!" He commands me and I had no choice but to oblige. I hate Alphas. What made them so great to get this power? Could Luna's have the same power? If I did, I probably wouldn't be going behind a tree and shifting with no clothes on.

I poke my head to the side and met his gaze, "I don't have clothes." I admit, hoping he'll let me turn back and leave. I so badly wanted to leave. I didn't feel safe. I didn't know who this man was.

"What's your name? What pack are you in?" His questions came fast and by his tone, I had to answer.

"I'm not in a pack," I lie. Technically, I wasn't in one.
