BEEP BEEP!
"ALRIGHT ALRIGHT HOLD ON!" I yelled, taxi drivers were so impatient these days.
Just as I clutched my purse and ran out to the waiting car, i was running down the stairs and my phone beeped. "Shit.." I muttered, as I heard the taxi give up and drive away.
It was 7:45am, if I run I can make it to the train station in time. I began taking two stairs at a time, the station was only around the block so I got there in no time.
The train station was over crowded as normal, so I tried my best to dodge the packs of people rushing around like they were on fire, like me. I scanned the platform and laid my eyes on a cute boy with blonde hair starring straight back at me. I bit my lip and broke my gaze instantly, soon followed by running down the stairs to my awaiting train.
'WOOOOOOOOOOOOOWOOOOOTT!' the train screamed reminding people that it was time to leave.
As I leaped down the last step, careful not to make my pastel lace skirt fly up to my bare shoulders. I thanked myself for wearing my black vans today and not my new sneaker heels. As I reached into my pocket of my light jean blue vest to tuck away my ticket, I slammed into someone at full force, not realising I was still running.
"OOF!" I grumbled as I collapsed to the cool-dirty-possibly-infested-with-diseases concrete floor. Another warning scream from the train and boom, I'm late for work.
"Oh shit, I'm so sorry, are you okay?!" A cute Irish concerned voice rang into my ears like music.
I felt myself being pulled up as If I was as lite as a feather and found myself face to face with the blonde haired boy. Now that I got a closer look at him, he was quite attractive. He had dimples as big as the moon, beautiful blue eyes, smooth creamy skin, blondish-brown hair and to top it all off, a cute crooked smile that made my heart flutter. I bit my lip but I couldn't drag my gaze away from his gorgeous crystal blue eyes.
"Uh, yeah, I'm f-fine." I stuttered, great first impression moron. He looked at me again and smiled.
"Good, I'm sorry for bumping into you...?" He trailed off, obviously wanting my name. He was so cute but he was a stranger. He seemed so sweet though. I snapped back to my senses that very second.
"SHIT!" I yelled out, covering my mouth as soon as the word left my glossy red lips. Is it okay to swear infront of randoms? "Sorry, I um, sorry for swearing, um.. my train and.. sorry." I blurted out. He just continued to smile. I felt so embarrassed, I could feel the red in my cheeks.
"No problem, I'm Niall by the way. Niall Horan." THAT'S RIGHT! Hes in the famous boyband, One direction!
"From One Direction, right? you guys are really talented." I complemented him, careful not to freak out.
He simply nodded his little blonde head and smiled that crooked smile that is known by millions of dedicated girls and boys around the world.
"Do you, um, need a ride or something?" Niall offered, I was so tempted to take it but the next train had pulled in and I needed to get to work as fast as I could.
"No thank you, I've got to get on that train actually or I'll be even later for work." I said, turning slightly towards the train that was getting ready to depart the station. His smile dropped a little but picked up again instantly.
"Well, we could meet up sometime instead so I can buy you lunch to say I'm sorry?" Niall asked, his irish accent bouncing off each and every word he spoke made you just want to sit there and listen to it all day long.
"Sure!" I said I little too enthusiastically.
He beamed at me and handed me a piece of paper with his number on it. As he placed it in my hand, he purposely hesitates. His hands are soft, warm and delicate like the petals of a rose as red as his lips. I tuck it away safely in my pocket and headed towards my awaiting train.
"Where can I find you if a few hours is too long to wait?" He flirted, oh my this boy was sweet.
"Mirror Cafe, next stop from here. I finish at 3:00." I chirped happily.
"Okay then, I'll see you there babe." Niall said looking down at his light green vans.
I waved a quick goodbye and headed for the train again.
"Just a thought, I might need your name if we are going to go on a date.." Niall suddenly whispered in my ear, his body was so close to mine I could feel his body heat. He smelt of a sweet yet sexy cologne. I inhaled as much as I could, savouring this moment.
"Good idea." I couldn't help the ridiculous smile imprint itself on my freckled face." It's Imogen, Imogen Fuller."
"Alright then babe. Bye Imogen Fuller." Niall said with a nudge and he was off.
I smiled to myself as I stepped on the train. I suddenly remember the paper with his number, he wouldn't give me a fake number would he? He seemed really into me.. I whipped out my phone and texted the number on the scrawny price of ripped paper.
'Niall, it's Imogen. Just checking you gave me the right number? xx'
It beeped back almost instantly, as if he were waiting for my text.
'Yeah it's me, wouldn't dream of giving you a bullshit number;) xx'
'Good, I'll see you later, Niall. xx'
'Bye Midge, xx'
Tic tic tic boom. 'midge.' it set off time bombs in my head. I never thought I'd hear anybody say it ever again. I felt warm when Niall called me it though.
'Midge is a fatty, Midge is a rat, Midge is ugly, Imogen is a loser.' They just kept jumping and bouncing off the walls in my head. No, I thought to myself, stop it. It's all in the past, it has been for a very long time. Time to move on Imogen. Maybe certain blonde, blue eyed angel will help.
