I could hear the sound of my heart pounding in my ears as I gulped trying to scramble to my feet and run as far away from him as I could get. My fingers ran between the dirt and the twigs on the ground as I tried to grab hold of something to catch my grip on so I could stand up but as my body backed away from his he chuckled blackly. I felt the collar of my sweater being grabbed as the sinking feeling set in once he pulled me closer to him.

"Now we can be together— forever this time." He darkly speaks.

His cold breath hits my face making me shiver as I brace myself for the end, waiting for death, waiting for it to be over. My heart sunk and a painful feeling grew in my chest when I thought about Paul and what might happened when they discover my body out here.

"Don't cry, unless it's happy tears of course." His voice is cold and menacing,

I'm confused by his words until my mind clicks and I feel the wet moisture on my cheeks— I was crying.

He leans in closer to my face and my voice suddenly finds its way back to me as I go to loudly scream, Dylan quickly presses his cold hard hand against my mouth keeping me quiet. His red eyes seem to darken as something wicked crosses his mind, he smiles.

"That's the same thing she did while I tortured her." He mumbles angrily. My eyes widen. Jessie. Is he talking about Jessie?!

"Jessie..." I whisper, he chuckles darkly.

"She was such an easy little pawn in all of this. After I realized you left Colorado I knew I had to find you. If you weren't around, I knew your mom would be able to give me the information on how to find you. So I followed her, I listened in on your phone calls, I found out where you worked at the diner. Then I contacted Jessie after making a new Facebook profile and looking at your friends list. Jessie shouldn't post where she works, it was stupid of her really." He pauses leaving me feeling even more sick than I ever thought I could feel.

"Once I followed your mom on the airplane to Forks, I followed her further. I followed your car after you dropped her off at that hotel, I found out where you worked and where you lived. The rest is history." Dylan's tone goes black.

"All I had to do was reel Jessie in with that fake profile and she came to me so desperately like a worm on a hook." He chuckles as more tears leave my eyes, it all makes sense now. All of it, it was all going on for months.

"She was a lousy lay, I just pictured you the whole time. But I knew I couldn't keep pretending, I had to get rid of her before she found anything out. After all, it's been you I've been after all along. So I killed her, I tortured her for a few weeks before I finally decided to put her out of her misery." He smirks.

"How did you like those phone calls, by the way? Her muffled screams were pointless, no one was ever going to find her in that abandoned house. But I thought you might like those phone calls, just to be reminded that I am always here." He grins wickedly.

My stomach drops as I yank away from Dylan and turn to my side as the burning sensation of vomit leaves my mouth causing my throat to ache. I wipe my mouth as breaths begin to leave my lips, the tears begin to burn my face, and the horrific realization sets in that I'm not going to make it out of this forest alive. All of the phone calls from the muffled screams, it was Jessie begging for her life. He tortured her until he decided to kill her.

Then he dismembered her body and threw her out like trash. Jessie cared about who she thought he was and he used her to get to me. The last time I ever saw her she believed things were going to be fixed between the two of them.

"He's calling me!" She exclaims as she answers the phone, she walks out of the back door and gives me an apologetic smile. 'I'll call you tomorrow' she mouths to me before the door closes behind her.
The song on the radio, he dedicated that to me. The song he would always play after he first began stalking me in high school. He would call and leave the song on my voicemails. He sat in the diner, in my section and I never even realized it.
