"Expelled? But it was an accident!" Kai says loudly as she walked with Newt to Hogsmeade Station.
He had all his belongings with him as he looked to the ground.
"I'll go to Dumbledore. He could sort this out." Kai says as Newt shakes his head.
"He tried. There was nothing he could do." Newt spoke sadly. Kai sighed knowing that there was nothing she could do.
"I'm sorry Newt." She apologises as they reach the station. Stood waiting by the train was Newt's older brother, Theseus Scamander.
"Not your fault Kai." Newt spoke quietly as his brother walked over to the younger teens.
"Come on Newt. Mother is waiting for our arrival." Theseus speaks coldly to his younger brother. Newt looked at Kai one last time before walking past his brother.
"I'll owl you." Kai shouts after Newt. He looks back at her smiling before boarding the train. Theseus stood beside Kai before turning to her.
"You won't owl him." Theseus says looking down at the smaller girl.
"Sorry?" Kai asks confused.
"Newt needs good people around him. And that's not you." Theseus says bitterly before turning towards the train, leaving her confused and hurt.
Little did Newt know as he waved goodbye to his friend who no longer stood on the platform, that he would never hear from her or see her for years to come.
