Kai quietly walked beside Newt and Jacob as they spoke about their lives, walking through the chilly streets of New York. As she walked silently along side them, she noticed something on a parked car. She put her arm out in front of Newt causing him to stop and look at where she was looking.

"Think your Niffler's been here." Kai says quietly incase the creature is still near. Newt quickly gets to work trying to track the creature as he walks past a jewellery shop window. Kai notices a small black figure standing, holding shiny necklaces as Newt steps back and looks in the window.

The necklaces slide off the Niffler's arm as he makes eye contact with Newt before scurrying off further into the shop.

"Fenestra." Newt says with his wand causing the glass to turn into dust, before running into the shop after the Niffler.

Both Kai and Jacob watch the red brown haired man run through the shop after the creature. She turns her back, watching for muggles who might think they're burglars, stealing from a jewellery shop.

She suddenly turns around at the sound of a window smashing, to see Newt and the Niffler on the concrete street. The Niffler scurries past her feet as Newt scrambles to his. Kai pulls out her wand and points it to at the creature.

"Accio!" She commands as jewellery flies at them, clinging to their clothes.

The Niffler clings to a lamppost before flinging itself at another window. But Newt reacts quickly causing the glass to turn to some sort of jelly, getting the Niffler stuck in the glass.

"Alright. You happy?" Newt asks the creature before pulling him off the glass. Suddenly police cars screech to a stop around the three of them pointing their guns at them.

"They went that way officer." Jacob says pointing away from them.

"Yeah they'll totally believe the three people covered in jewellery standing right in front of them." Kai says sarcastically.

"Hands up." An officer says cocking his gun at them. Suddenly the glass smashed behind them as Newt steps in front of Kai protectively. The Niffler quickly scurries over Newt's shoulder and lands in her hands, as she cuddles him into her coat.

"Lion." Jacob gulps pointing to their side. Everyone turns to see a male lion growling at them as the police point their guns at it.

"New York is considerably more interesting than I'd expected." Newt says grabbing his case and holding Jacob and Kai before disapprating from the scene.

The three ended up at the entrance to Central Park as Kai is still clutching to her coat with the Niffler sits comfortably. Newt looks at her hands in worry unable to see his creature as Kai opens one side of her coat to see the Niffler cuddled in the inner pocket. He smiled before picking the small creature up and putting him in the case before the three of them ran towards Central Park Zoo.

They slowed to a halt as an Ostrich ran past them. Newt looked in the direction of the zoo before placing his case on the snow covered path.

"Put this on." Newt says pulling a leather hat out of his coat and handing it to Jacob.

"But why would I have to wear something like this?" Jacob asks looking at the pair. Kai shrugs before looking to Newt.

"Because your skull is susceptible to breakage under immense force." Newt answers before grabbing Kai's hand and running off towards the zoo.

They skid to a stop outside the zoo's entrance to hear a loud groaning noise. Jacob stops beside them with the hat secured onto his head. Newt slowly places his case down and letting go of Kai's hand as Jacob stares at the massive hole beside the entrance.

"You never told me that this creature was huge!" Kai exclaims as Newt smiles sheepishly. He pulls out a matching chest plate for Jacob's hat before handing it to him.

"Now there's absolutely nothing for you two to worry about." Newt says helping Jacob put the chest plate on.

"Tell me, has anyone ever believed him when he told them not to worry?" Jacob asks Kai as she smirks.

"Every time he told someone not to worry he'd always say that his philosophy is that worrying means you suffer twice. That usually made them worry even more." Kai says as she remembers every time he's told her not to worry.

"You're still here aren't you?" Newt says smiling before running into the zoo. Both Jacob and Kai follow behind him, cautious of what they'll find.

"She's in season. She needs to mate." Newt says opening a bottle and pouring some of the liquid on his wrist like perfume.

"Something tells me that's not cologne." Kai says staring at the huge creature in the corner across from them.

"Erumpent musk. She's mad for it." Newt says not taking his eyes of the creature, handing the bottle of Jacob.

"Stay here." Newt says to both of them before running over and opening his case not too far away from the creature.

Kai and Jacob stand beside a Macaw enclosure watching Newt. Suddenly Newt makes a loud groaning sound before crouching down. Kai and Jacob watch in confusion as Newt begins to snort. Kai quickly covers her mouth as she tries not to laugh. Newt continues to make strange noises while moving and sometimes rolling on the floor to gain the creatures attention.

Kai watches Newt closely as the Erumpent rolls onto her back, inches away from the case. Suddenly the creature stands up and looks directly at Kai and Jacob. Kai turns to see Jacob holding the bottle of Erumpent Musk before the creature charges through the Macaw enclosure. Jacob runs off out of the zoo and before Kai could run out of the way, something hard hits her head causing her to pass out.

Newt felt his heart drop as he watched Kai fall onto the floor unconscious. He grabbed his case and skidded to her side. He pulled out his wand and was just about to cast a spell before his wand was grabbed from his hand. He spun around to see a monkey running off with it before he quickly follows it.

Kai slowly regained consciousness to see a leather case lying beside her and could hear someone speaking.

"Look it's exactly the same." Newt spoke to the monkey, offering it a stick in exchange for his wand. She sits up and grabs a hold of Newt's case as the monkey accidentally uses the wand causing it to fly back. Newt grabs his wand back and turns to see Kai slowly standing up.

"Are you okay?" Newt asks running to her side. Kai nods slowly as Newt inspected her head which had a small cut with blood.

"Newt it's just a scratch. I'm fine." She says holding his hand in hers. Newt smiles before pulling her along to help Jacob.

They reached the pond covered in ice to see the Erumpent running after Jacob. Newt apparates  them both between the creature and Jacob. He quickly opens his case as the Erumpent slowly gets sucked into it before catching up to Jacob. Newt slams the case shut once the creature is fully inside as Jacob falls back onto the ice in relief.

"Good show, Mr Kowalski." Newt says as Jacob tries to catch his breath.

"Call me Jacob." Jacob says looking at the both of them smiling. They both help Jacob up before heading towards the bridge. Newt almost slips a couple of times causing Kai to laugh. He places the case under the bridge so nobody can see it, before they all enter the case.
