The five of them had appeared on a street just around the corner from Macy's. Kai had quickly used her wand to change back into her other clothes as they raced over to the store.

They entered the store to see a handbag floating away from them. They all hide behind something as they sneakily follow Dougal.

"Demiguise are fundamentally peaceful but they can give a nasty nip of provoked." Newt says as a white creature appears in front of them.

"You two, head that way. And try very hard not to be predictable." Newt says pointing Jacob and Queenie to his left. Suddenly a loud screech is heard not far from them.

"Was that the Demiguise?" Tina asks.

"No. But I think it might be the reason that the Demiguise is here." Newt says as they follow the creature to a set of stairs. Kai smiles before they follow Dougal up.

"It's sight operates on probability, so it can foresee the most likely immediate future." Newt explains as he tiptoes beside Dougal. The rest of them stay behind, allowing both Dougal and Newt some space.

"What's it doing?" Tina asks whispering, watching Newt set his case down next to the creature.

"He's babysitting." Newt says calmly.

"Excuse me." Kai says quietly as Dougal stares at Newt, allowing him to open his case.

"This is my fault. I thought I had them all but I must have miscounted." Newt whispers as a creature groans above them.

"It was babysitting that?" Tina asks as Kai stares at the large creature.

"It's an Occamy." Kai says smiling at the creature as it takes food from Dougal.

"Occamie's are choranaptyxic. So they grow to fill available space." Newt whispers as the Occamy slowly approaches Newt.

Queenie moves towards Newt as she accidentally kicks a christmas bauble causing the Occamy to panic. As Newt tries to calm it down the Occamy picks him up, taking him up high.

"Newt!" Kai shouts as the creature destroys shelves as it panics. Dougal had attached himself to Jacob, trying to stay safe.

"We need an insect! Any kind of insect and a teapot." Newt shouts down at the four. The four of them look at each other confused but search for the items anyway.

Both Kai and Tina searched the room for a teapot while trying to dodge the Occamy moving around the room.

"I got it!" Jacob shouted as he held an insect in his hand.

"Teapot!" Tina shouted, holding the teapot out. As Kai stopped searching she stood as the Occamy's body hit into her, sending her backwards into a wood post. She winced in pain as the Occamy stopped moving, staring at the insect in Jacob's hand. She could see Newt staring at her with a worried look, so she gave him a weak smile.

"Roach in teapot." Newt whispers to Jacob as he whimpers. Jacob looked to Tina before throwing the roach in her direction. Tina moved following the roach with her eyes, getting ready to catch it in the teapot. Once the roach was successful in the teapot, the Occamy shrunk to fit into the teapot. Newt quickly placed a lid on top of the pot once the Occamy was safely inside.

"Choranaptyxic. They also shrink to fit the available space." Newt says panting.

"Tell me the truth. Was that everything that came out of the case?" Tina asks.

"That's everything. And that's the truth." Newt says. He quickly gives Tina the lid as she keeps it over the top of the teapot just incase. Newt quickly runs over to Kai, who's still sitting with her back against the wooden post, catching her breath.

"Are you alright darling?" Newt asks slowly pulling her onto her feet.

"Never been better." Kai says chuckling before wincing in pain. Newt tightens his grip on the woman, helping her stand up.

"Newt I'm okay, it'll bruise. I'll live." She says as Newt smiles at her. He helps her walk over as he opens the case, going down first. Kai follows after him followed by the others.

Jacob leads Dougal back to his enclosure as Tina follows with the Occamy. Kai watched as Newt spoke to Pickett before she felt something tugging on her trouser leg. She looked down to see the Niffler looking up at her.

She found a chair to sit in as the Niffler climbed up and sat on her lap. She slowly pulled a coin out of her pocket and handed it to the creature. He seemed fascinated by the golden coin before looking back up at the smiling woman. He shoved the coin away before curling up on her lap. Kai slowly picked him up and put him back into his burrow of golden collections.

"You need a giver." Kai hears Queenie says as she walks over to where her and Newt stood.

"What are you two talking about?" Tina asks entering the space.

"School." Queenie replies as Newt's eyes met Kai's. She walks over to him as Jacob joins the group.

"Did you say school? Is there a school? A wizardry school here in America?" Jacob asks.

"Of course. Ilvermorny. It's only the best wizard school in the whole world." Queenie says smiling.

"I think you'll find that the best wizarding school in the world is Hogwarts." Newt says. Kai stands up on a step behind Newt and pulls him back before resting her chin on his shoulder.

"And right in front of you, you'll find two of Hogwart's best pupils." Kai says as Newt smiles.

"Hogwash." Queenie says as Newt's head quickly turns in her direction. Suddenly thunder claps above them as Frank screeches with lightning around him. Newt quickly grabs Kai as they both look up at the creature.

"Danger. He senses danger." Newt says looking back at the group and then back to Kai. The one thing running through his mind was protecting her, protecting Kai Munro.
