Hope none of y'all have epilepsy lmao 😐😐
You rocked up to the party with a few others accompanying you.
That was so everyone could arrive at the same time, and be relatively even throughout the night. And, the rest of the party seemed to have shown up not much before you, which brought the noise-level right off the Richter scale.
Mina's house was much larger than anticipated. And, it was filled to the brim with eager high-school students, small amounts of auto-generated smoke, and flashing colourful lights.
Glancing around carefully, with Ochaco clutching right to your arm, you observed some simple party things, like multi-coloured cups that everyone was drinking from. You wondered what they were drinking.
These parties were nothing like the ones where you came from.
Where you were from, the parties didn't start until 1AM, at least. People didn't have cups, they chugged hard liquor from the glass bottle. There was no "beer pong" there were gun games where the loser loses their life. And instead of raunchy teens dancing on tables, there were registered criminals in the boxing ring, aiming for manslaughter.
You liked this type of party a lot more.
A party where you looked around, and saw young friends sharing a space—smiling, performing crazy dances, making silly contests—not enemies fighting for their territory—screaming curses, bleeding out, and wielding military-grade firearms.
"Deku!" Ochaco suddenly shouted as she parted from you and ran to her green-haired companion. He lit her face up like no other. It was magic.
The group you arrived with quickly parted. You watched in mild confusion as people seemed to skip by you.
As if they forgot they brought you.
Everyone found their favourite people to be beside, yet, everyone remained in the living room and relatively close together. That was why you didn't panic, because at least, you could see where they were.
Although you were alone, you weren't too far from company.
You just had to wait for your best friend to arrive. He would show you a good time.
You found it mildly amusing when you looked to the couch and saw Shouto had already settled a seat with a bottle of unidentified green liquid, and a remote controllers for the game he was playing with a group of boys.
At the very least, you could see everything going on. That was enough.
You could see your favourite groups of people mingle with each-other around the room, while you stood alone by the door, and waited patiently.
You could also see three tall, unidentifiable men slowly approach you.
Slowly, but also, they were in your face too quickly for you to have anticipated anyway.
