"R-Rina, you're awake!"
You awkwardly play with your hair, looking across at the timid boy. Looking at him then, you realised that he was actually taller then you now. And he had bulked up a lot since you saw him last? And thinking about it even more, you remember that you've never had the chance to test your abilities against him.
You'd never thought about it before, but maybe Midoriya could beat you in a battle.
You'll challenge him one day soon.
"Um, yeah?"
"That's great! Welcome back!"
"I don't feel so welcomed," you mumble, almost leaning towards Bakugou and his dominate aura. "I feel alienated."
"That's only natural, young Rina. Please don't beat yourself up. You've come back into the world a new person, a new life ahead of you. It's okay to feel weird. I know you'll settle in soon."
"Mm, we'll see," you reply, unconvinced.
"May I ask where you two are going?" Toshinori questioned, looking over you in your hospital gown.
You look up at Bakugou, and he was already looking down at you.
"No," Bakugou replied before quickly grabbing your wrist and forcing himself through Toshinori's barricade, only to run down the hall, holding onto your hand for dear life.
Oddly enough, Toshinori didn't chase after you both. He didn't even ask little Midoriya to run along for him. He just let you go, trusting the process and motives of both of you.
Midoriya and Toshinori looked at each other, and smiled.
Each saw the magnificent effect Bakugou had on you, and how it was such an enticing surprise that he was the one, of all people.
You were transforming right in front of them, and it made them so happy.
"She's changing," Midoriya said passionately.
"For the better, I agree," Toshinori nodded. Then he held out his hand for a shake. "We must continue to support her now, no matter what. She made a huge decision and it was the right one, in our favour. Now we have to keep our word, and prove ourselves. Agree?"
"Of course!" Midoriya smiled, taking his idol's hand in a good shake, "It makes me so happy! We really turned a villain to good!"
"Me too, young man. Me too."
When you had gained enough distance, you looked back, and saw a stray tear in Midoriya's eye.
You didn't know what it was about, but knew it held a lot of emotion. So many stories in that little boy's eyes, you were actually curious about hearing some of them.
