Recap if you had to skip last chapter: Alright, so basically, Arin and her friends beat up Y/N because she was still hanging around Jeongin. Jeongin has just found Y/N and is tending to her, but little does Jeongin know, he's in for a bit of a rude awakening. But I must also add, a brief mention of self harm will be in this chapter. If you are triggered by this, I will put this symbol (||) where the mention begins and ends <3
Jeongin's POV:I was walking over back to the bench where Y/N and I were sitting. I made sure to get her favorite flavor of ice cream just as a fun surprise. When I walked over to where we were, I didn't see her. Huh? It's not like Y/N's character to ditch anyone. I started getting frantic and started searching the whole block. I ended up making my way into an abandoned alleyway. The sight I found was the most horrific thing I had seen in my life.
Y/N, sitting slumped over like a decommissioned animatronic. She was covered in bruises and blood. It didn't take a professor to know who did this. I ran beside her, screaming for her to wake up. It didn't work. She was out cold.
"T-this isn't real...I'm dreaming," upon muttering that, I shut my eyes tightly, still holding tight to Y/N. Thank God for what happened next. By some miracle, her eyes fluttered open, bloodshot and tear-filled, but somehow, still beautiful.
"I-Innie?" I leaned over to her and caressed her cheek.
"Y-Y/N, what happened?" I tried to be as calm and comforting as I could.
"A-Arin...her and the others...they did this..." Y/N was knocked out once again. Almost at an instant, I felt my blood boil. I wanted to find Arin and give her a piece of my mind. However, I knew I had to be strong for Y/N. I slowly picked her up and took her home as quickly as possible, ignoring the nearby stares and mumbles.
Once we finally reached home, I laid Y/N softly on the couch. I rushed to the medicine cabinet and grabbed every medical supply I thought useful. Then, I grabbed a bucket of ice for her bruises. I rushed back over to her and knelt by her side, carefully bandaging her scratches and icing her wounds. ||Upon doing so, I felt the scars on her forearms. I originally thought her dad had given these to her, from smashing her into tables or something like that. But the marks look like...cuts. No, Y/N, you didn't...||
"Y/N...where did you get these?" I asked softly, trying to be consoling for affirmative at the same time. Instead of a clear verbal answer, I just got a mumble, followed by Y/N sitting up quickly. She let out a few whimpers of pain, and I tried to ask again.
"I-I'm sorry, Y/N. I didn't hear what you said," I kept my tone quiet as I softly laid her back down. However, she quickly smacked my hand away and sat up once again.
"I said they were nothing. What are you? Deaf?" Needless to say, I was in shock. Y/N had never said anything like that to me before.
"I-I'm sorry, I-" my unimportant ramblings were cut off by Y/N once again.
"No! Sorry won't cut it this time! You're butting into my business, something you shouldn't know, more so care, about, Jeongin!" I felt like a baby, but I couldn't hold back the tears coming out of my eyes.
"Y/N, you're my best friend! I'm gonna care about what happens to you!" I tried to keep my cool, but I felt my face getting hotter and more tears pouring down my cheeks.
"Oh! You're gonna start caring now?! You didn't seem to care much when you left me! I needed you! You just went on to America like it was nothing! Like I was nothing!" Hearing Y/N speak those words shattered my heart. I felt like falling to my knees and begging for her forgiveness right there. But I knew I had to stand my ground.
"Don't you understand that I had no choice? Or are you only thinking about yourself, like you always do?" Hearing myself say that left Y/N in shock, as well as myself. I didn't mean to be rude, but everything I was feeling just poured out at once. "Y-Y/N, I'm sorry, I didn't mean," I reached my hand out to her shoulder, only to have it smacked away once more.
"What did I just say?!" she yelled out loud enough for the whole block to hear. "You know what? Maybe our parents were wrong," she let out a scoff before continuing, "I mean, they aren't ever right. But maybe, the whole "roommate" thing they had in mind was a bad idea. They just throw us together after we've been apart for five years? How dumb can they be?" With every heart-wrenching, ear shattering word Y/N spoke, I felt another piece of my heart break. Y/N continued on, groaning before doing so.
"You know what, why are you even here? Did you think that, you'd make a glorious come-back and I'd fall for your grown up attitude and charm?" I didn't understand what she was saying, but she continued on like she didn't care if i did or not. "Jeongin...just go."
That final sentence was the key to completely opening the lock to my emotions. More tears than ever poured out of my eyes. I felt weak, like I couldn't move, talk, breathe, anything. I turned towards the door, ready to head out and catch some fresh air and leave this situation. When all of a sudden, I shut the door, and turned around to face her.
"No..."
Damn, only two days back and they fighting XD
Again, not my favorite chapter, but I hope you enjoy the early update chiles <3
