Recap if you had to skip: Jeongin wanted to stay for her, but Y/N decided it would be better off if she stayed out of Jeongin's life since all she feels like she does is hurt him.

Also, this chapter does have a trigger warning: Eating disorders will be discussed in a good majority of the chapter, so skip this chapter now if you need, It's not really important to the story, but I will but another recap if you guys request.

Jeongin's POV

It's been weeks since I've talked to, more or less seen, Y/N. The crazy thing is, she still lives here! It's like she makes up any excuse not to see me. Whenever I call for her for dinner, she says she isn't hungry. When I knock on her door to ask her something, she hides under the covers, or pretends she's asleep. I honestly don't know what to do anymore.

I can't tell if it is a blessing or a curse that we've been on Christmas Break for the past few weeks. Christmas break has always been our week; spending time with each other, opening our presents together, everything we used to do as kids. I thought it was all gonna be the same. That is until me and Y/N's falling out. Because of everything going on between us, I just left her presents outside her bedroom door. The only sign that she was still alive was they were gone the next morning.

I'm not the only one worried either. Y/N's completely shut everyone out. Jeongyeon's been calling the house non-stop, asking to talk to Y/N, or asking if she's okay. I always responded with the same two things: "She's in her room," or, "I haven't talked to her, so I don't know." Spending these few weeks with Y/N was like spending a few weeks with a rock. There hasn't been a day passing that I worry about her. Her life has been troubled ever since I can remember. Maybe this just made it all worse...Maybe me coming back made it all worse...No, I can't think like this. I have to stay strong.

Well, anyways, today is the day we go back to school, and honestly, I'm dreading it. Y/N and I basically have every class together with the exception of 8th period. This is going to be one of two days: Awkward as hell, or dramatic as hell.

I started to get worried when Y/N didn't wake up. She's usually up before me, either cooking breakfast or reading. I walked up to her bedroom door and knocked softly. She didn't answer. So, obviously, she was still asleep. I hesitated a little bit, thinking just up and out going in her room could invade her privacy. Then again, today is a school day, and Y/N usually doesn't like being late. So, I walked into her room and slowly turned the lights on.

"Y/N? It's 7:00. Ready for school?" I whispered out softly. A sleepy Y/N rolled over and her eyes fluttered open softly.

"Hm? Time for school already?" she groaned as she rubbed her tired eyes. I nodded with a slight smile and walked out of her room, allowing her to get dressed. I was cooking breakfast when I heard her bedroom door squeak open. I turned around to greet her with a smile, as I always did. When I turned around, the sight in front of my eyes nearly sucked the soul out of me.

I honestly couldn't tell Y/N was standing in front of me. She looked like nothing more than skin and bones. Well, skin and bones with huge bags under the eyelids and that's wearing a hoodie and jeans. The outfit obviously looked too big for her, which is concerning because the same hoodie was snug on her almost two weeks ago.

My eyes widened at the sight and I quickly turned back around as to yield myself from making any comments.

"What's wrong?" Y/N unexpectedly blurted out. I turned back over to her and let out a shy smile.

"Oh uh, nothing, Y/N," I replied, my voice shaking a bit. I knew I shouldn't have trusted her when she said she wasn't hungry.

"Uh, alrighty then," she walked over to the table and leaned against it, scrolling through her phone. I made two bowls of oatmeal for breakfast and sat one in front of her.

"Oh, I'm not hungry," she said, as she always does. I took a quick glance at her, now very slimmed body, completely different from her healthy body I knew too well.

"Y/N, eat. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day!" I said with a bright grin. "..please Baby Bear?" Once I said that, Y/N did something I hadn't seen her do in a long time: she smiled. And the smile wasn't one of those half-assed ones. It was genuine.

"Alright fine," she mumbled out as she took small, nibble-like bites of her oatmeal. I was kind of frustrated she wasn't eating more, but you can't always get what you want in life.

"Still callin' me Baby Bear, eh Dimples?" She looked up and smiled again. This is so confusing! Just two weeks ago, we were screaming at each other. Now she's being nice again?

"Well, I've always called you that, and you've always been my baby and my little bear so uh," I got a bit awkward while saying that, unknowing as to how she would react. Unexpectedly, she smiled once again.  "Uh, so have you found a new place yet?"

"Not any that I really like, or any that I can afford," she mumbled out in a raspy, but also soft tone. Almost like she was sick. I nodded and continued to eat my breakfast. When we were both "finished" with breakfast (Y/N had eaten like, a fourth of the bowl), we decided to go ahead and head to school early.

On the way there, I was talking about random things. Mainly muttering to myself about nonsense. Y/N was just nodding and laughing along to everything I said. This is so weird. I know I've been rambling about how she was nothing more than a lifeless rock now, but still...I want my best friend back.

Sometime along the way, Jeongyeon caught up with Y/N and they walked off, leaving me behind. Well, at least I still have-

"Hey! Innie!" I heard a voice spit out before I was tackled into a bro hug. Ah yes, my two other  friends, Hyunjin and Seungmin. I met them when I first came back to school. They're close with Y/N, so she introduced me to them.

"Just have some guy friends," she said with a giggle. Ever since then, we've basically been stuck together. Hyunjin looked up towards the hurrying girls and sighed.

"Girl trouble dude?" he asked as he patted my back.

"Not really girl trouble so much as it is Y/N trouble," I replied, sighing. "I haven't seen her all Winter break because of this dumb fight we got into and," I stopped myself from my rambling, and looked down at my feet. "I don't wanna talk about it." Seungmin rubbed my shoulder and sighed with me.

"Listen, I know she's your best friend, but sometimes, the people we love the most, leave the earliest. Plus, you don't know what the future holds, so she'll be back in your life soon," I had to hand it to Seungmin. He really was the one who could lift my spirits. Plus, he was right. I didn't know what the future had in store. I definitely didn't...
