Jeongin's POV:
Yesterday was probably the best day of my life. I made Y/N happy, had fun with my friends, and fell asleep nice and snug while cuddling my best friend. I could only think that the next day would be just as good, if not better. Mannnnn, was I wrong.
The best part of the day was the morning. I decided to be a bit cheeky and wake Y/N up by pecking her all over her face. Her soft (insert your eye color here) eyes fluttered open as she began to fidget and giggle.
"Yah! Innie!" she mumbled out sleepily, turning over to hide her face in the crook of my neck. I turned her back over softly and shook her a little to fully wake her up.
"We have to go to school, Baby Bear," I told her while slowly releasing my grip on her and sitting up. Ever since the first kiss, I've felt a bit awkward. I just don't want to do anything wrong or mess up anything between us. Y/N smiled slightly and then stood up.
"Fine, fine," she said promptly. "Just let me go get dressed." With that, she swiftly exited the room, leaving me a bit sad. Recently I've been feeling...different around Y/N. It's like I don't see her as a best friend anymore. I know exactly what I'm feeling, but I can't tell her. It'll just ruin everything. I can't mess things up. After all, we just redeemed our relationship.
"Innie, you ready?" Y/N yelled from outside the hangout room door breaking my train of thought. I quickly slipped on a hoodie over my t-shirt and opened the door to greet Y/N. Wow...she looks pretty...
p-pretty good I mean.
"Hey, space cadet," Y/N giggled as she waved her hand in front of my face. I guess I had been staring for a lot longer than I had intended to.
"Oh, uh sorry. Let's go?" Y/N nodded as we went outside. Without even thinking, I took Y/N's hand and intertwined our fingers together. Y/N moved her hand a bit and looked up at me a bit confused.
"Oh, s-sorry-" Y/N gave a firm squeeze to my hand, letting me know it was okay as we kept walking.
"Yah! Stop apologizing so much!" Y/N giggled, even though I still felt weird about this whole thing.
(TIME SKIP BECAUSE IM LAZY!)
"Alrighty, class. We have a new student today! Please introduce yourself!" A young boy with light blonde and hazelnut eyes, presumably who the teacher was referring to, stood up and bowed to the class.
"Hello everyone, my name is Lee Tayong, I'm from Seoul, and I hope we can all get along!" Taeyong sat back down in his seat, smiling in the direction of Y/N. I can already tell this guy is gonna be trouble.
"Alrighty, well, welcome Taeyong!" The teacher promptly turned back to the board, writing down the agenda for today's assignment.
Throughout class, I caught Taeyong continually staring at Y/N. Uh, does he not know the laws of common courtesy? Don't look at another guy's...Wait, Y/N and I aren't dating. And he's new so he obviously doesn't know. What is up with me today?
After class's end, I watched Taeyong walk up to Y/N, sparking a bit of of a weird feeling in me. What could he possibly want to talk to her about? I usually walk with Y/N to lunch, but I stayed back watching her converse with him.
This is what I overheard:
Taeyong: Hi, uh, can I ask you for some help?
Y/N: Hey, of course! I'm Y/N, it's nice to meet you! So, what do you need help with?
Taeyong: Uh, can you help me find my way to the cafeteria? I haven't been able to find it at all.
Y/N: Of course! If you want you can sit with me and my friends at lunch.
Taeyong: Ah, thank you, Y/N. Heh, I know this is weird seeing as to how we just met, but you're really prett-
That was when I stepped in. I walked up to Y/N, making and effort to wrap my arm around her shoulder, gently though, while playing with her hair.
"Hiya, Innie. Oh! Taeyong, this is Jeongin, Jeongin this is Taeyong!" You have to hand it to Y/N; she always tried to bring people together. But I don't think this is a case where it'll work. Taeyong barely smiled and waved slightly, looking down at his shoes. "Hey, I invited him to sit with us at lunch, is that alright?"
"Yes, of course Baby Bear." I must admit, I felt like being a dick to the Taeyong boy, so I put extra emphasis on 'baby.' Y/N must not have gotten what I was doing, so she just giggled thinking it was a sweet gesture I guess. I shot another look at Taeyong, who looked a lot more sour than before I came over. I led Y/N out of the classroom, Taeyong following behind as we walked to the cafeteria. I don't know why, but something about this guy seems...wrong.
Taeyong's POV:
Who is this guy? Y/N's boyfriend or something?
Haha, that won't last long.
Also, happy Hyeongjun day!
