A love so unexpected (BL)

Chapter 31 : Indoor date (JadeKen).

Third person point of view

Ken asked Jade if he has time for meeting up. They decided to meet on the weekend. But this time around they were too lazy to go out, so Ken suggested on meeting at his house. 

When the door bell rang, Ken got up to open the door. " Hello ". Jade greeted with a smile. " Hey, come in ". Ken opened the door wider for Jade to enter. Jade removed his shoes and walked in. It was a small house. Living room and kitchen were on this floor and bed room and bathroom on the next floor. There were steps to the side to go up to the bedroom. It was enough for a person. " Your house is nice ". " Thank you ". " You live alone ? " Ken nodded. 

" My parents live in another city. Luke helped me with the house ". " Nice ". Jade looked around and then they settled down in the living room on the couch. " I really like your house ". " Why so much ? " Ken chuckled. " I don't know. It is really cozy and I like the vibes it gives away ". " I know people who asked if I am not paid enough to have a big house ". Jade chuckled. " Does it matter ? " Ken widened his eyes. " I know right ". " It is enough as long as you like it ". They share a fist bump. 

" Do you have people visiting you often ? Like your friends and all ". Jade asked looking around. " Why ? " " Just.. it is really neat. So I was wondering ". " No. Actually this room is Luke's and mine. When we were in the last year of high school, he suggested on this. So we both moved in and stayed till we finished college. When we started working, his father asked him to stay at their house. So he moved out but I am still staying here. Because this is my home in this city ". 

" Ohh ". Jade nodded. " You used to enjoy it then ? " Ken laughed. " Do you even need to ask ?  This room was our party hub. We shared a lot of memories here. This place saw our happy times, hard times, everything. Luke didn't really want to leave but then he cannot stay too. He used to visit but he is so busy that he barely has anytime. Besides he is a married man now ". Ken said rolling his eyes. Jade laughed. " Don't worry I will keep you company ". Ken smiled. " Really ? So sweet of you ". " My pleasure ". Jade smiled looking at Ken. " You can come by whenever you are free. I don't mind it. I am more than happy to have you here. And it is you, so even happier ". 

Jade smiled looking at Ken. " Thanks for that ". Ken realized what he just said, but tried not to show it and turned away smiling. " I should make a lot of memories with you too ". Ken turned to Jade. " Huh ? Did you say anything ? " Jade shook his head. " Nothing ". Ken nodded. They sat in silence for a few seconds. Ken was reminded of his time when he was on a date with his first love. No one knows what to say so they just sit and share the awkwardness. But it is still a beautiful memory. Ken decided to break the silence. " Soooooo? What else ? " " Nothing much. You know how it is right ? " " Yeah true. By the way, how is aunty ? " 

" She is good. She asked if you can come by when you have time ". " Really ? I will see if I can make time. I will come and visit soon ". " Cool. So, what shall we do now ? " " Whatever you wish ". Jade gave it a thought. " Movie ? " " Sure ". Ken switched on the television. They picked a random movie. It was nice. Both of them enjoyed it. By the time it was over, it was lunch time. Jade checked the time. " What about lunch ? " Jade asked turning to Ken. " We can go to a restaurant. There is one in the street beside. It is good ". " Why ? Do you have anything in the fridge ? " Ken was not sure. " Yeah, I guess ". 

Jade got up and checked it. There were a few things he can use to prepare lunch. " See, I can just use these to cook lunch. Give me a few minutes and I will cook it ". Ken didn't object. Jade was good in it anyway. Jade finished cooking and served it hot. " How do you cook so well ? " Jade chuckled. They finished eating and chatting about a lot of things. Once they were done, Ken was the one cleaning the dishes. 

Jade suggested on helping but Ken didn't let him saying he already did the cooking so he should let him do this. Jade accompanied Ken speaking to him as Ken was doing the work. " By the way, how is that lady ? " " Who ? " " I don't remember her name. The one who keeps getting in between our power couple ". " Oh, Kayla ". " Right ". " Her. Actually she might be doing something behind our backs, so I am trying to dig up about all of it ". " Hmmm. Okay ". " I just hope she doesn't do anything stupid in between. Luke will hunt her down for sure ". 

Ken shook his head. " I hope she doesn't too. I am worried that she might harm Leo ". " That is the scariest part. Luke will absolutely not take it if she does that ". " You want my help ? " Ken chuckled. " It is fine. I can manage ". Jade gave an expression like he was unsure. " You never used a gun, did you ? " " Gun ? " Jade's eyes went wide. " Look at your expression ". Ken laughed out loud. " I know you are not used to all these. It is fine. I know well to handle them ". Jade nodded and moved closer to Ken. 

He stood behind Ken and snaked his hands around Ken's waist. " But, you know I am better at other things right ? " He whispered right at Ken's ear. Ken swallowed and didn't say anything. Jade moved away with a smirk. " Pervert ". " What ? " Ken smiled. " Nothing ". " You called me a pervert ? " Jade turned Ken around making him look at him. Ken's eyes were shaking and he didn't know what to say.  " You want to see that side of me ? " Ken just kept staring. " I- I- I didn't mean it that way ". " Then ? " Ken averted his eyes and was looking at everything except Jade. " Sorry alright, I am sorry. My mistake ". 

Jade smiled when he saw how hard Ken was blushing. He let go of Ken and took a step back. Ken turned around and let out a breath. He continued with his work. Once they were done, they were back to sitting on the couch. They were randomly watching something on the television. Ken laughed and turned to look at Jade to say something only to find him asleep. He smiled tilting his head. He saw that Jade's neck was in a difficult position. He moved closer and let Jade rest his head on his shoulder. Jade slept with his head on Ken's shoulder while Ken continued to watch. He reduced the volume. 

Jade opened his eyes after a while. When Ken noticed Jade moving, he turned his head towards Jade. Their faces were too close. Ken froze when he noticed the proximity. But Jade was a bit dazed as he just woke up. He was just looking and didn't say anything. Ken turned away. Jade sat up properly and rotated his neck. " How was your nap ? " " It was fine ". Ken didn't say anything. " What time is it ? " Jade asked looking at Ken with half lidded eyes. Ken cleared his throat. " Around 6 maybe ". They checked the time and it is 6:20. " I guess I will go home now. It will be too late if I start late ". 

" Fine ". Jade washed his face to get rid of the sleepiness. He wiped his face with the towel Ken gave him. " If you need help or someone to talk to don't forget that I am there for you ". Ken nodded. " Thanks ". Jade patted Ken's head. " I will leave now. Bye ". Ken nodded. " Bye ". Ken closed the door and walked into the house. He sat back and thought of the day. They just spent it together. Even though they didn't do much, it felt nice. He sighed and decided to take a shower. He still has to go get dinner for himself.

This date is so kawaiii~~ 🤩🥰 They are so cute together. Looks like these both go on more dates. Nonetheless they aren't married after all. 😅😂 

I never knew my own writings will make me feel this single. 😂😂 

I actually did not intend to mention the names in the title, but I thought the mini theater  from the previous chapter might mislead. So I mentioned in case you guys won't be disappointed. 😅 And I told this but I am mentioning again just in case, please don't take mini theaters too seriously. They are more for fun purpose than having a relation to the story. Hope you guys will understand. 🤗
