"Are you alright" she said examining his actions.
He forced a small about to speak his heart out but was interrupted by a ringing phone.. Bella answered it immediately "Hello Mommy" she said trying hard to guess why her momma called
"What? I'm not pregnant.. I just wanted to be sure?" She said moving her fingers across her face. Something she does when she's agitated.
The phone was silence for a while. Farouk looked at her in amusement thinking hard on the issue of her being pregnant. Was he happy? Of course, why hadn't she inform him yet? Uh oh. He waited calmly has she ended the call with her mom.
"Fine, I will come over. Love you too bye" she rushed the words out ending the call.
She now turn her focus to Farouk re asking the previous question if he was alright. He side looked her saying "are you going to ignore the fact that you said you was pregnant?"
Bella rolled her eyes "first of, I'm not pregnant I only did a test and the doctor who is a family friend snitch on me as you can see" she sigh
"And I kinda started therapy with her though I'm not sure she mentioned that part" she added
"I hope you are truly pregnant though" He jokes
"Hell no, I want no babies sir" she shot back
Farouk nodded not pushing the subject. He was not brought up to keep stuff in him he had to let this go.
"Yeah I'm alright. I just wanted to remind you that I love you Bell" he said.
She just smiled hugging him.

The two had dinner at the Dickson's where they were bombarded with loads of questions.
"I just don't know why y'all kids having unprotected sex" Missy scolded
Dickson rolled his eyes thinking his wife lost her mind
"aside sexually transmitted infections I don't mind y'all having kids though else I'm impregnating your mom" he said
The kids looked at him grossly while Farouk held in his laughter. To him the man was still in love with his wife making him opening sexual towards her even after these years..
"Wonderful" he thought.
"You better dad causeeee I don't want no babies, yikes" Bella said dragging the words out her mouth harshly.
"Is it that you dislike kids?" Ahyoki asked.
"Dislike? Not really but then. Um" Bella hummed ignoring her sister's question.
She excused herself to the washroom as tears flow down her perfectly sculpted chin. If not for insecurities now, she would be saying beautiful words to herself to calm her nerves..
After her sobbing section in the washroom, she wash her face and head back to the kitchen where the dinning was. She forced a smile as the family gives her a knowing stare.
"God heal my baby" Missy silently prayed.
