Chapter 6

Isabelle

I fill up my juice closely watching Ahyoki smile over whatever is doing with her phone. Sipping, curiosity took over me, I so much wanted to know what little sister was up to.

"Err, why did you visit if you are just going to be on your phone, damn" I said

She rolled her and cleared her throat something she and our dad did a lot. "I'm going on a date since momma isn't around you got to take me shopping and all" she said

"Duh, you and I know you got your card, just say you want to spend my money not yours" I deadpan

She nervously laughed. Being the big sister was sometimes a stress. I didn't like it when mom and dad went on vacation without these peanut heads.
She went back and on her phone making me wonder who this kid is going out with. She is just fifteen!

"Do I know him?" I asked

"Nah, our parents already met him, you weren't around as usual, umm" she hummed

"Shush it miss lil thing, you are just fifteen" I argued

"Yup, fifteen and pretty" she said dramatically.

I rolled my eyes saying "you know sometimes I feel mom gives you to much privileges, it's good and bad"

"She did same for you sis, look at you all sane and shit. She don't want me depressed like some youth I know" she shot back

"Okay smart mouth, don't curse in my house.. It's that why you want to be a psychotherapist, because you know bunch of them?" I asked

To me Ahyoki choosing this career was okay but she had temper, how was she going to tolerate people?. Weird

She seem to be in a deep thought but she soon reply "you remember when gogo Regina died? Those were same days Andre was sick. Mom sent you away to gogo Trina so you won't see much of her Misery you both were emotionally in sync so she had to" she sigh

"So how do that make you want to be a psychotherapist?" I was confused.

"I didn't finish" she rolled her eyes "I didn't go to Trina's maybe I was young but I was intelligent Isabel, I seen ma fall into a deep depression, she would cry and look into space often. She wrinkled, lost weight and became very forgetful, she forgot to bath me sometimes or give De'andre his medications.
It got worse after dad told her he cheated on her by allowing a woman perform oral sex on him"

"What! How come I don't know about it?" I yelled

"Like I said you wasn't around much, I was almost six year old then. They fixed stuff though mom forgave him because to her she sexually starved her husband. Uh oh! To why I want to be a therapist, whenever mom was suicidal or didn't want to do something funny, she had called her therapist Dr. Susan. The way she spoke to mommy was soothing, calming. Mom looked better after those calls or visits to Dr. Susan's." She smiled "then I wanted to make people feel same too, not only through our donations" she said

I nodded understanding her now. Big princess has always been a stronger woman, she raised a stronger woman and raising another. I'm proud of my momma. So forgiving and strong!

After our little talks we went shopping. When we came back to my house it was a 5pm and her date was 7pm. 'Mason' now I've heard so much about, he's 16 and a little sweetheart lol.

I didn't have much to worry about because both parents know each other, I'm yet to meet him though. It feels great dressing my sister for her first official date, mom did same when I was eighteen. I feel so responsible and blessed to be a big sister as always.

"He's driving himself?" I asked

"No, he got a chauffeur like how Andre and I do" she replied applying lip gloss
De'andre is spending the weekend at granny Trina

"Mom and dad should return tonight so let Mason drop you off at the mansion before 10pm" I said

"I know right, I'm a big girl so chill besides they are aware of this date" she said

I rolled my eyes at the drama queen. After meeting Mason, I asked him to take good care of Ahyoki and I love them two.

Immediately I close the door it rang, I peep to see who it was. There stood my man looking so good.

Opening the door I was welcome with his nice cologne. I hugged him and said "I miss you babe"

"I miss you more, here" he said handing me gift bag and a food bag which smelled super good.

"Awwwnn, thanks love"

" we both been busy, thought we could chill tonight. " I smiled at how thoughtful he is.

A month after the event we only talked and texted on phone. Seeing him today is a relief, I missed him.

I was excited because I'm surely getting the D tonight.
