Chapter NINE

*English Fest 

<Liam's POV> 

Well, this is it. Ung araw na pinaghandaan naming lahat. Nakaka-kaba, siyempre. Pero mas nakaka-kaba ung idea na di pa kami nagkaka-ayos. Yup, sa ilang araw na dumaan, di pa kami nagkaka-ayos-ayos. Kaya medyo awkward ung magiging mga performance namin. Sina Ms. Pinky at Ms. Mavic, todo assist kina Anne at Liana. Must admit, though, litaw na litaw ung ganda ni Anne sa dress na suot niya. Ano itsura? Malay ko, di naman ako babae -_- 

On the other hand, naka-Beast costume na si Allen, pero ung mask di niya pa suot. Una ung Parade of Literary Characters tapos Mr. and Ms. English. Yeah, una ung contest nina Liana. Di ko nga alam paano nakakaya ni Liana un awkwardness eh. Ang tindi talaga ng isang to. 

(fast forward, a few minutes later) 

Tinawag ung mga contestant sa Parade para bumunot ng number. Number seven ung nabunot ni Allen. 

"Good luck." I told Liana as the emcee called the first contestant. She managed to smile naman. "Sa inyo din. Break a leg." she muttered, halatang kabado. I patted her shoulder, earning us a glare from Allen. "Everything's gonna be fine." I assured her. 

<Liana's POV> 

Kinakabahan ako T.T Sana di ko malimutan un lyrics. 

"Let's give a round of applause for our next contestant. Ladies and gentlemen, contestant number seven." sabi nung emcee. WHOO!! This is it pansit! 

Nagawa namin ni Allen ng ayos ung "Something There" pati first part ng "Beauty and the Beast". We're now on the part kung saan the spell's already broken. Natanggal na ni Allen un mask. Hinila na niya ako towards him, then he stroked my face. His fingers rested on my chin habang tinatapos namin ung kanta. Eto na ung embarassing part. 

Um-angle na kami in a way na aakalain ng audience na nag-kiss kami. Though fake lang un, the audience were --- 

Shemay. 

S-si Allen. 

TINOTOO NIYA UN FAKE KISS :O 

When the music stopped, we took a bow kahit mejo disoriented pa ako. Pagdating sa backstage, I sank to my chair, feeling very weak kneed. P-pangalawa na un. Pangalawang beses na akong hinalikan ni Allen.

<Anne's POV> 

Tapos na ung Parade of Literary Characters kaya Mr. and Ms. English na un contest. Ung mga nanalo mamaya pa ia-announce. Nung nagbunutan kami ng number kanina, number 2 kami ni Liam. Siya ung bumunot eh. Tss. 

Dumaan un ilang achuchu nun contest (modelling pati talent chorva). Ngayon, ung pinaka-inaabangang part which is Question and Answer. Inuna ung mga contestant for Ms. English. Shemay, ako na un tatanungin. 

"If you were to describe a guy you secretly loved, how would you describe him and why?" tanong nun judge. A guy I secretly loved? 

I took a deep breath, grabbed the microphone and said... 

"Love is such a strong word. So, for me, to be honest, I don't think I have ever loved anyone secretly up until now. What I am quite certain about is, I admire someone right now. Secretly. He has everything a girl would fall for. He is charming and smart and all. But what made me admire him is his purity and innocence that he fails to veil with his cool bad boy attitude. I also have this weird feeling like I have known him for like... A long time ago? It's really strange." 

I took a bow and dashed to the backstage in time to hear the ear-splitting applause and cheer from the audience. Siomai. Nawalan ako ng control sa mga nasabi ko dun. Aaarrgghh.
