"You want to skip school tomorrow?"Christopher asked me over the phone."My grandma would never let me getaway with that.""She doesn't have to know. We canchill at my parent's.""What about your dad? What aboutLyn?""Lyn will be at school and usually isn'ta tattle-tale unless she's asked, and don'tworry about my dad, he's clueless most ofthe time." I hesitated for a second beforeagreeing.Christopher dropped Lyn off at schooland then we headed back to his parent's house. He pulled around the back anddrove into the trees as an attempt to hidehis pathfinder from his dad. He got out andstarted to walk towards the house, stoppingafter realizing I wasn't following. He camearound and opened my door."C'mon my queen." He reached hishand out. I rolled my eyes."I'm not walking through these sticks.""Really LeighAnn?" He whined."Pull the car back out, drop me off,and I'll wait for you there." I could seeChristopher slightly roll his eyes and heardhim mumble under his breath as he walkedback over to the driver's side. After dropping me off, he headedback into the woods again. I told him Iwould wait for him but instead, I made arun for his bedroom. I jumped when thedoor slammed behind me but kept running."Who's here?" I heard Christopher'sdad yell. I panicked, and hid myself inChristopher's closet. "LeighAnn?" Christopher whispered. Ishoveled out of the closet and dartedacross the room to his bed completely inthe nude. I laid on my side, propped up myleft elbow and had my right arm danglingover my hip. Christopher lookeddumbfounded, and then frowned."You said you'd wait for me outside."I sat up and pulled his nascar comforterover me."I just splayed my body, which I'mself-conscious about, out for you and all youhave to say is that I didn't wait for you?" Hecame and sat down next to me, taking myhand."You have a beautiful body, LeighAnn.I just don't like people telling me they'regoing to do something and then watchingthe opposite get done." I stood up."I'm getting dressed, we're going toget caught. I heard your dad." As soon as Iturned around from gathering my clothes, Ijumped. Christopher was standing there. He reached his hand out and placed it on mycheek."My dad isn't here." He whispered."I heard him. He said: who's here?" Itried my best at a grumpy man impression.Christopher laughed for a second."I think you're crazy." He removed hishand and invited me back over to the bed. Iaccepted, and the next thing I knew, wewere both naked, acting like adults. Istarted laughing after the fun because Icouldn't believe I had actually went all theway, that and he had a little penis, it waseven harder to imagine that something somicroscopic could create such Heaven."What's so funny?" Christopher wassmiling. I pointed to his XY genetics and hissmile turned upside down."Really LeighAnn?" He got up andrushed into his soccer shorts before exitingthe room. I called after him once but whenhe didn't respond, I threw on my khakishorts and a tee-shirt I pulled out of his hamper. I found him in the kitchen deep inthe refrigerator."Want a sandwich?" He asked harshly.I shook my head, even though his back wasfaced to me. He pulled out the essentialsand got to work on his sandwich."How would you even know?" Hedidn't look at me when he spoke."What?""How would you know what'sconsidered small if you claimed to be avirgin?" I honestly had no idea how torespond so I tried a confidence booster."It's bigger when you're in the mood.""Thanks." He snapped."Awe, did I hurt your little feelings?""Yes LeighAnn, you did.""Suck it up, you big baby." Good grief,is every guy I date going to be such a crier?Christopher scarfed down his sandwich andheaded out the back door."Where are you going?" "I have a soccer game to prepare for.You can either come or get left behind."Wow, he's really mad at me. Hopefullysoccer will cheer him up, that seems to bethe only thing he's really passionate about. Ifollowed him out and sucked up walkingthrough the sticks to his pathfinder. On the way to the soccer field, Ilogged onto my socials. The first thing thatpopped up was a status by Lyn:"I'm not dating Wesley! It was a miscommunication.Next time, ask me instead ofassuming." I rolled my eyes but clicked'like.'At the soccer field, I was lookingaround, waiting for the game to start. Iglanced over at the opposite bleachers andleaning against them with her arms foldedwas Lyn. I took a deep breath and walkedover to her."Hey!" Her eyes widened when sherealized it was me. "I have been looking everywhere forthat shirt!" She shouted playfully."Oh, I found it in Christopher'shamper, here." I grabbed the rim the teeand motioned to take it off."No! No! No!" Lyn shouted andpulled my arms down. "Just return it afteryou wash it.""It was in his hamper, I thought it wasmine-""You had to of known that you'venever seen it before so it can't be yours."Lyn said, cutting me off."Not exactly. I didn't really payattention to it." I shrugged, Lyn smiled."My dad doesn't really pay attentionwhen he's putting laundry away." I laughed."So, how was dating Dirtdan?""I didn't date Wesley!" She snapped."It was a mishap. He hugged me frombehind and I shot him down. All Taylor sawwas his move. His move, that indeed, didnot work." Lyn is surprisingly easy to talk too. I asked her to take a picture with me,and to my surprise, she agreed. We were struggling to pick a pose , soour photographer took some candids, andwe ended up with some silly pictures. Therewas one where we were looking at eachother. Lyn was smiling; I was making the'duck face.' It was actually really cute, andfor a moment, I thought that maybe sheisn't that bad and we could be friends.
