Christopher's mom was right, planning a wedding in such little time wassuper stressful, especially while trying tostay on top of my school work and having towatch what I eat because of the baby.Although, somehow, I managed to do it. I'vegot all the details, colors, dresses, and thevenue picked. Christopher and I planned itto be next Saturday. We will be getting married on thelake, at a local park. The ceremony will beheld on the sand and then we'll gounderneath a lit up pavilion for thereception. My dress is a gorgeous, off shoulder, ivory color with bedazzled white flowersand beading over lacy a lace and tulle ballgown with a sweetheart neckline and theentire dress costed my grandma five grandwith alternations and all. I will be nine months pregnant when we get married, sowe needed my dress alternated big enoughfor my big belly and boobs to fit into. My Pawill be officiating and my Uncle Russ, AuntMeghan's husband will be giving me away.My girls will be in blush pinksleeveless dresses with a silver scarf to wearover them. My matron of honor will beAunt Meghan. Courtney will be my maid ofhonor, and my one bridesmaid will be Lyn,if she says yes. She's the only one I haven'tasked yet. I asked her mom for her dresssize so I could calculate what size dress sheneeded since I didn't ask her before thefitting so it would still come in on time."Why would you order her a dress ifyou haven't asked her yet?" Lyn's momasked. "What if she says no?""She's not going to say no. It's her bigbrother's big day." I told her as I gathered apiece of cardstock and made a poster askingher to be my bridesmaid. I knocked on herbedroom door but got no response so I invited myself in. She was looking at thatweird journal while sitting crisscrossed onher twin mattress. She didn't acknowledgeme until I spoke to her, and even then shedidn't look at me. I glanced over at thejournal and saw it full of notes. There was alist of names form school and somebaggage to go each one."That journal was empty nine monthsago." I blurted."No it wasn't." Lyn said, studying it."Yes it was!" I shouted. "I pulled itout of your drawer, and the pages wereblank.""You went through my stuff?" Lynstarted to get angry. I didn't say anythingelse and just watched her reach into hernightstand and pull out the exact journal Ilooked through nine months prior. "I havemore than one journal." She explained. Ifake smiled and threw the cardstock on topof her journals to change the subject. Sheread it and then finally looked at me. "You're planning a wedding already?""You mean planned. It's nextweekend." I said. Lyn laughed and tossedthe cardstock onto her bedroom floor."I don't think so.""Please," I begged. "I've already gotyour dress.""LeighAnn, let's face it. You don't likeme and I don't like you, and I don't thinkwe'll ever agree with each other, but if youare marrying my brother in high school justbecause you're having a baby, then youneed to consider the physics of how unlikelythis is to work out in the end. I can't believeyou convinced my mom to let Christopherget married in high school. You probably didthis on purpose, as a way to trap him. Youknow he's only marrying you becauseyou're pregnant. If you weren't, hewouldn't have even considered this, notright now anyway.""Christopher loves me." I said, irritated. "Maybe he does, and maybe hedoesn't but either way, you're only gettingmarried right now because you're pregnant.""Christopher would have married meeither way.""Yes, but not in high school.""Just, will you be my bridesmaid ornot?""No." Lyn didn't even hesitate. Imade my way to her door, my facebloodshot from anger."Okay," I started. "That's fine. Justremember who revealed their biggestsecret in front of the whole school to saveyour selfish reputation." Lyn waved me offand I exited her room, slamming the doorbehind me.
