Madame Pomfrey spoke cheerfully. "Just a small twist and a scrape, should be done in no time!" She handed Draco a bottle of medicine. "Just give it an hour, and you'll be set." She walked away briskly.
Sounded right, since Draco didn't lose his bone completely. Otherwise, he would be there for days, and days, and days. And- Harry's thought got cut off.
"Good, so that means we can still play tonight." He smirked, all signs of little-trembling-Draco gone. "And Potter, why did you bring me here? Why me? Do you li-" he got cut off by Harry this time.
"Why were you spying on me?" Harry asked, knowing he had the upper hand here.
"Okay, Potter, you win, forget it." He grumbled as he looked at Harry's grinning face. Harry's cute, beautiful grinning face. "And, thanks for bringing me here."
Harry, who was halfway to the door, spun on his heels and looked at Draco. "Did you just ap-" He started. 'Apologize,' is what he wanted to ask, but Draco got the better side of this.
"Potter, leave before I can stand up and kill you." He smirked again.
"Fine." Harry chuckled and left the hospital wing. Did Draco just snuggle my neck? He asked himself as he walked towards the great hall for lunch. Like, seconds ago, didn't he? He began to smile.
"Why are you smiling?" Ron asked as he shoveled down sandwiches.
"Me? Oh, I was just at the hospital wing with Malfoy." Both Hermione and Ron spit out their pumpkin juice. He looked at them stupidly for a solid ten seconds and realized he fucked up.
"And you're... smiling because of that?" Hermione giggled.
"Oh, I thought you asked where I was. I'm just smiling because he got hurt, that's all." Harry told them, trying to sound the least suspicious as possible.
"And you were there because?"
"Because he, uh, fell off his broom and I saw, so I took him to Madame Pomfrey." He made up.
"Ok, sure, and, why were you there while the Slytherins were practicing? And why didn't his captain take him?"
"Merlin, he was alone and I was doing homework, okay?" Harry frowned at all of the questions.
"Okay, sorry mate." Ron smiled and Hermione was still looking at him stupidly. "What happened to him?" He asked.
"I dunno, something to his leg I think. I left right after Madame Pomfrey took him in," He shrugged. "He can't walk, so I'm assuming so. He had to lean on me, it was very, uh, annoying." He didn't know how to tell them he was a ferret, let alone an unregistered animagus, or else Hermione would freak out.
"He leaned on you?" Hermione rose her eyebrows.
"You heard me the first time, 'mione." He mumbled.
"Haha, I know Harry!" She smiled brightly. "Oh- what's that?" She pointed to the entrance of the dining hall, at a small white object moving down the Gryffindor table. Flying moving object, mind you.
"I don't- ow!" The flying object hit Harry's head. It was a small paper bird. Probably a note, he thought as he picked up the now still craft. He carefully unfolded the paper and looked at Ron and Hermione. "Look away, Merlin!"
They both looked away, cheeks flushing.
Harry frowned as he read the note, but then a smile plastered his lips.
Potter, meet me in the room of requirement in ten minutes, please. - D.M.
Draco bloody Malfoy said please. Harry smiled even more and stood up.
"Where are you going, Harry?" Ron asked as he stood. He frowned when he slipped a sandwich into his pocket. "I guess the better question is, what are you doing?"
"Noting, don't worry about it," He called, running down the dining hall. "Meet me in the common room before dinner!" His smile widened even more as he stood in front of the room of requirement, the door opening after a couple of paces back and forth. The room that formed looked exactly like the potions classroom, but no potions, desks, nothing but-
"Potter!" Draco jumped in joy and ran up to Harry and gave him a tight hug. He released quickly. He looked at Harry's face, who was bright red. "Sorry," He mumbled.
Now that? He had said please, now Draco had fucking hugged him? He couldn't help but smile. "It's okay Dra- Malfoy. What's wrong? How's your leg?" Draco was still blushing. It was quite weird to be hugged by your enemy. Ex enemy, maybe?
"Sorry again. My leg is fine, but Madame Pomfrey told me to rest for at least one week because I tore a muscle as well." He stopped to look at Harry. "And, well- um, I was wondering- I was wondering if-" He stuttered.
"Well, spit it out?" Harry told him. He would never in a million years say this, but the Malfoy looked kind of cute stuttering. His cheeks were red, and his fingers were fumbling around.
He took a deep breath. "IwaswonderingifIcouldgotoclasswithyou?" He rapidly spoke. Far too fast for Harry's slow mind to process. Draco frowned as Harry looked at him weirdly.
"Malfoy, you do realize I don't understand you if you say more than ten words in a sentence as one word?" Harry giggled slightly. "Say that again in English?"
"Potter, don't even-"
"Malfoy, don't forget you invited me here?"
"Okay." He took a couple of deep breaths. "I was wondeing if- if I can go to class with you for the two weeks." He looked at his feet. "And just go around with you if i need to go anywhere." At this point he looked thoroughlly embarrased.
"I mean, yes, or- sure, I dont care, but exactly how will that help you rest- ohh. Ferret. I got it. I don't care. Sure. Yeah? Maybe. If it's okay with you?" He was going crazy. Did I just ask the person who asked me if he was okay with his suggestion? Harry laughed nervously.
"Don't make a fool of yourself, Potter." He crossed his arms and smiled.
"Sorry." Then he thought about it. "How come you can't ask Parkinson or-"
"Becasue you're the only one who knows I'm an animagus, Potter. I'm unregistered? My goal wasn't for anyone- let alone you- find out that I am- sorry, was-"
"Spying on me. Right. Not creepy at all." And he paused again. "Why did you spy on me?"
"Not telling you." He blushed again.
God, he blushes a lot now. Not creepy at all, oh. Thats what I do. "Okay, fine with me, I'll have to find out tonight at 10." Harry smirked, Malfoy's smirk.
Draco suddenly looked like he regretted arranging the game. Then his smirk came on, knocking out Harry's. "Oh, It's on. And, uh, could you maybe take me around wherever you're going? And drop me off at the dungeons before you go to the room of requirements? I don't want anyone to be suspicious and I don't want to come in your way of anything you're doing."
"Sure, Malfoy." Harry smiled slightly as he kneeled down, waiting for the little ferret to climb onto his shoulder. As soon as Draco sat snugly on his shoulder, Harry walked out of the room, acting more suspicious than ever, his pace all messed up. "Have you eaten?"
Draco shook his head.
Harry gave him the sandwich, and smiled as he heard the small animal happily munching.
