Barry went home instead of to the beach to inform Mr. Clark he had failed. He couldn't bring himself to face him after he bombed the DA entrance exam. He hadn't planned to fail, so he didn't apply anywhere else, If it came down to it, he would have to think about applying to Marv- "Barry! How good do you do?!" His sister through adoption, Iris asked. "I bombed it." He said. "Oh, well that sucks." Iris said. "Yeah, it does." He said, as he went into his room and closed the door.
For the next few days, Barry holed up in his room, only going out to eat breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
He failed Mr. Clark, but he could never bring himself to text or call him. Somehow, he still hoped he got in, even though he knew it was impossible.
Over time he stopped with the sulking and began to train. Even if he didn't get into DA, there was always next year. If he trained hard enough to increase his speed, and learned how to throw lightning and pass through stuff like he did in the exam, he might be able to get into DA, although he would have to settle for Marve- "BARRY, YOUR RESULTS ARE HERE!" Iris screamed.
Barry received his results in a video, he heard the DA acceptance and rejection results are usually Paper forms. This was a completely new thing, and it slightly worried him.
Barry started the video, and Superman's face was smack in the middle of it.
Barry jumped back, accidentally at super-speed and he was sent into his wall. He was confused on why Superman was in a DA results video.
"You may be confused on why i'm on your results video, Young Allen." Superman said, as if he could read his mind. "Well, i'm sure you'll be excited to hear, I've recently been accepted to be a teacher at DA!" This was shocking to Barry, Superman was going to be a teacher? How would he do hero work?
"Now, lets get to the results." Superman said. A man dressed in all black whispered in his ear. "I have to do THAT MANY of these?!"
Superman said in shock. Barry couldn't help but laugh. "As you may know, you took down only one robot, and at that it was the robot that gave 0 points." Superman said. Barry then felt a sting through his heart, he knew he failed, but it hurt even more to he told that by his idol. "However, by taking that robot down, you saved the life of another." Superman said. "That was very heroic of you, and a hero school doesn't just ignore that." Barry realized what he was saying there had to be another.. "There is another, secret point system." Superman said proudly. Barry realized what that meant, he might've passed! "You received, 100 HERO POINTS!" Superman yelled proudly. Barry was ecstatic, that could be enough to pass! "That's not all" Superman started. A video played inside of the video, it was kind of inception.
The video played. The girl that had saved Barry earlier and that Barry had saved from the robot, had talked to some teachers about transferring points to Barry. This surprised him a lot, she only had 80 Battle Points, which was just under the required passing points. But Elongated man had good news, "There's no need for that, you both passed the exams, you not only have 80 Battle points, but also 25 Secret, Hero points!"
After the video finished, Barry ran to the beach, seeing Clark standing there, waiting for him, with a smile on his face.
Barry knew at that moment, his dreams were finally becoming a reality.
