Lightning Vs Lightning

Barry was suddenly filled with fear, he's almost unable to move. "Well, this will be fun." Billy says, loudly, for almost everyone to hear. He and Oliver then walk into the building. Once they both find the missile, Billy begins to ask, "Hey, Green Apple, what's the deal with Barry's quirk?" He had been confused ever since Barry showed off his quirk during the physical tests, and thought that Oliver would most likely know more about it. Oliver asks a question back, "Why do you hate him so much?" Billy suddenly had a pained expression on his face, then he had a face of pure anger. "Ask his murderous dad what happened."

Outside of the building, Barry had been having multiple panic attacks of varying severity. (or at least that's he classified them as.) Zattana was slightly concerned and tried to comfort him. Nothing she did worked though, and he was still scared even as they walked into the building to start the training. They walked through the narrow corridors of the building, with each turn they took worrying Barry. He then realized that being scared would do nothing. Hiding behind a friend won't work in a real situation. Barry began to stand tall, becoming more and more confident with each step he took. They turned the corner and saw Billy, but it was already too late the moment he saw them. "SHAZAM!" Billy yelled.

Barry had seen this take place many times, Right as the lightning bolt began crashing straight through the building. Time slowed down and let Barry do his magic. First, he ran Zattana down the hallway. He ran back and the Lightning bolt was almost touching Billy's Hair. Barry was fast at the time, but still not faster than lightning. He tried to push Billy out of the way so he couldn't transform but it was already too late. The lightning crashed down around Billy and knocked Barry out of his Speed. Billy laughed and then started to run towards Barry, but Barry saw this coming from a mile a way. Before Billy could reach him, he looked up and smirked, before running out of the way and twisting around to kick Billy into the wall.

Billy was shocked by this sudden display of competency. Barry then begins to talk, "I didn't only take notes on Quirkless hero's Billy, I needed to learn from the best of the best as well. That included you." "I'm not the weak kid you knew when we were still children. I've worked hard to get into DA, just as hard as everyone else! You can call me names or push me around, but all of those names, will represent a hero!" Barry proclaims. 

Billy stood up, he then looked at Barry and smiled. "For a second there, I almost forgot that you're the kid of that scumbag." Barry then became angered, "I'm telling you Billy, My dad killed no one on that night." Billy then started to run towards Barry, slowly becoming faster with each step. "Yeah, keep telling yourself that." he says. At the same moment that this all was happening, Zattana was just realizing that she was run down the Hallway. She begins to run down before hearing Barry scream at her, "I'll hold off Billy, you go find the bomb!" She runs up the countless stairways that are next to her. Billy goes for a kick against Barry, but he counters by using his speed to duck under and then run behind. Before Barry can attack, however, Billy screams "Shazam!" to summon his lightning. Knocking Barry into the wall behind them.

Separate from the building, the other teams and Superman had gathered into another room and were watching the battle. "I'm surprised that Barry is even keeping up with Billy, looks like he's almost got him outsmarted." Hal exclaims. "But you have to remember that Billy has been utilizing the conditions of his transformation against them, it's almost perfect defense." Megan says. Personally, Clark had been impressed with Barry's skill. His above average smarts and constant note taking had been seeming to give him a slight advantage, but Billy's combat ability and amazing ability to formulate strategy was too much. Anyone in the class could see that Barry was trying, but they could also see that Billy was just the better fighter.

Zattana had managed to find the bomb, and was attempting to move it towards her using magic. But she couldn't figure out which spell she had to use and was struggling to say them all backwards. While hiding behind a pillar, she was attempting to test all of the spells, but she accidentally teleported herself into Oliver's view. Faster then she could react, Oliver had already managed to shoot off her cloak. She had to leap behind another pillar before he managed to paralyze or detain her. She was right to leap behind a pillar because right as she did, an arrow that exploded into capture tape grazed her leg. Oliver then decided to wait it out and contact Billy to tell him what was going on.

Billy was searching for Barry, who had disappeared when the smoke cleared from the Lightning bolt before he heard a voice in his ear. Oliver began, "Hey, can you come back up? Someone's he-" Billy interrupted him, "Is it Barry?" Oliver sighed, "No." Oliver then tried to contact him again but there was no response. "Dang it, Billy." He whispered, but Zattana managed to hear it. She then contacted Barry. Barry received her call and answered, "Hey. Have you found the bomb yet?" he asked. "Well yes, but there's a bit of an issue. Oliver knows I'm here and if i step out from behind this pillar I'll be captured." Zattana explained. "So all i need to do is cause a distraction to mess up his aim." Barry thought aloud, "Got it, I'll try to figure something out" "Good luck." Zattana said.

Barry ran through the building until he found Billy. "Hey, I thought you weren't a weak kid anymore." Billy said, "so then mind telling me why you were running away from me?" Barry began taunting Billy. "Honestly, i thought you would've already caught me by now,  just got a little bored so i visited Japan for a bit. It was cool. Want a pocky?" "You're really asking for it, Barry. So, I'll deliver your specially made package, by me." Billy countered. "Man, I don't know if I'd like that, so I'm gonna head to Japan again." Barry said. He then began to run away, but Billy wasn't far behind. Barry could hear the Lightning bolt again and just as he suspected, He also heard some of the building crashing down as well. While on the run, he contacted Zattana to formulate a plan. 

As Billy was chasing him, he realized that he was feeling a bit happy. This suddenly angered him and he started to give chase at a faster pace. He still wasn't ready to forgive Barry for what happened on That Day, or anyone else he believed at fault either. He reached a corner of the building where Barry was waiting for him. He decided that he would have fun with this training, while also letting out a bit of bottled in anger.

Barry had talked to Zattana and explained his plan to her, but he would need to set it into motion. But before he could start it, Billy had already begun to spiral into a deep anger. "Hey! idiot, what do you think the extent of my powers are?" Billy begins to say, "I can summon lightning by sayin the incantation, sure, but did you think that was all?" Barry slowly turned to Billy, who was beginning to generate lightning from the lightning bolt on his chest. "I specifically asked for this stupid emblem to act as an absorbent too, every time I say the incantation, it saves a bit more and more. Eventually, I can release it by saying it one more time." Barry realized what this meant, but it also meant that he would be able to conduct his plan, running wasn't an option this time, even if he was greatly hurt, he had to try. Billy shouted the incantation, "SHAZAM!"

Clark was worried once all of the cameras they were using to watch them went out. But using his super-hearing, he could faintly hear them both talking,  Clark hoped he was right, but made sure to tell Billy just in case. "Billy Batson, If you use that one more time your team will lose." Billy couldn't hear that though, his comms were destroyed with the blast as well. Along with the tattered costume of Barry, an uprooted floor and Barry's completely broken leg from when he slammed his leg into the floor to bring up a shield. "I-I knew I couldn't beat you head to head, Billy." Barry said faintly. "But, I had to do what i had to do." At that moment, Superman switched the camera's to a few floors directly above where Billy shouted Shazam.

Zattana had used magic to start flying over to the bomb, but because of the still flying debris from the explosion, Oliver couldn't focus enough to shoot the tape at Zattana. Barry and Zattana's Plan was to lead Billy under the bomb area, and then get him to shout Shazam, causing a distraction that would mess up Oliver's aim. The plan worked, because after Zattana had crossed over to the bomb...

Superman announced, "Team A wins the match!"
