Billy was a good kid, always doing his best to make his Mom proud. After all, the young age of 4 was right around the year's when people start developing their quirks. He was ready for any quirk, he wanted to become a great hero just like Superman, so that he and his mom could have happy lives. He and his best friend, Barry, always used to race at school. They always stayed up during the napping times, and always walked home together.

One day, when he got out from school, he and Barry were walking home, They parted ways and the both went home. Barry's home was closer so he got home earlier. They always managed to sneak out of school so that they could show their parents they were big kids that could get home by themselves, The school was in their community but they still thought they were cool. When Billy got home, his mom was no where to be found. He assumed she just went out to go buy milk, since they had recently run out. He personally asked her to get some that morning.

After a few hours, his mom still wasn't home, he went outside to see if she was at Barry's house or something. When he got there all he saw was Barry arriving home, with police tape all around his house. He went to see what was happening, only to see Barry's dad being arrested, and being put in the police car. When he arrived at the scene, he snuck in and saw Barry, on the floor, crying. In front of Barry was what looked like a body, and it was draped under a Black sheet. "Hey, Barry, who's that?" he asked, curious as to who was under the sheet. Barry looked up at him, tears still flowing down his eyes, only managing to squeak out one word. "Mom"

Billy stood there, almost unable to process what was happening. Why was Barry crying, Why was his mom on the floor, why was his dad being taken away, what happened? Suddenly, everything clicked for him. Barry was crying in front of his mom, who was on the floor. Barry was most likely crying because something bad happened. His dad was being taken away by the police. So Barry's Dad most likely hurt Barry's mom. His mom never came home. So Barry's dad might've hurt his mom too.

With this revelation, he ran through the door of Barry's house, closing it behind him, prepared to start running down the steps. But he ran straight into a wall. When he got up, he was met with what seemed to be a throne room, with statues of monsters on them. Billy began to hear voices whispering to him, to take hold of an orb located at the center of the room. However, although Billy was attracted to it, he was literally 4 and was scared of the monster voices and left it alone. After walking past the orb, he saw a man walking towards him, who began to speak. "You, child, who has resisted the temptation to take the orb. I grant you access to my quirk, say my name and you will have it." "Sorry, my mom said I can't talk to strangers" Billy said. "Say it." The man insisted. "Sorry, mister." Billy said. "JUST SAY MY NAME!" The man yelled. "Okay, Okay! What is it?" Billy asked, scared for his life. "My name, Is shazam."

...

"Billy, Hey, Billy, Are you okay?" Superman says. Billy was hyperventilating after suddenly flashing back to that day. The loss had affected him greatly and forced him to realize that Barry could most likely win if they ever had to do this again. "I'm fine, Superman, I just... need to think about a lot of things." Billy said. He walked away from the Training ground, leaving Superman greatly worried.

Barry was sent to the Nurse's office after the training to recover from his wounds. While superman was scolded by the nurse, telling him that he will take at least 3 hours to recover, which was a miracle due to his accelerated healing, otherwise it might've taken a week or even a month. He knew he made the mistake of allowing Billy to use his move, but also wanted Barry to be able to put his plan into affect. "I am deeply sorry, and do apologize, I just wanted to see my students doing their best." Superman explained. "I know, but the more you push this young man, the less of a chance he'll come out of these situations, without permanent damage." the nurse explained.

Superman returned to the viewing area and pronounced Oliver as the best student of the exercise. "Does anyone know why Oliver has received this title?" Superman asked. Katlin decided to answer and explained. "Well, first of all, Barry and Billy were mostly fighting during the entire exercise, and Barry used a reckless strategy to win, while Billy shouldn't have used such a powerful attack. Zattana did well in formulating a plan with Barry, but that plan was, as I said earlier, reckless, and she was too careless when attempting to test her spells. Oliver, however, attempted to capture his foe, while also contacting his partner for assistance when he assumed he would need backup." Katlin explained. "Very good, that was exactly what I was thinking, Katlin." Superman said, when in reality it was because Oliver was the only one who actually tried to capture his opponent. "It was nothing, I had a headfirst and strategic approach because of everything my father has taught me, I owe everything to him." Oliver explained.

"Well, that's nice Oliver, Now, onto the next group." Superman said. He sent Damian and Megan as the Hero team, while Jax & Stein and Val were the Villain team. The training went by relatively quickly, with Megan acting as a distraction for Jax & Stein, bating them as they had a severe advantage, and Damian sneaking past Val and managing to secure the bomb. The match lasted a total of 35 seconds. Everyone else then finished up their training sessions. "That was a great training session, students, Now, Off to homeroom!" Superman said. He barely finished waving goodbye and running off before he transformed back into Clark. 'Crap, I can barely manage to teach a full class before I run out of steam, what will I do if something worse happens here than what took place with the first exercise today?'  He thought.

Barry woke up from the nurses office later in the day and rushed to class. "Hey, Barry, you did pretty good out there!" Hal said. "I never expected you to beat Billy in the training!" Chuck said. Barry was encouraged by the (somewhat) kind words, but then he spotted Kara. "Hey Kara, are you doing better now?" Barry asked. "Yeah, I am, but the nurse said she still doesn't know what caused me to become nauseous." Kara said. Barry knew what was causing it, but didn't know how to prevent it from hurting her. "Hey, have you seen Billy?" Barry asked. "Yeah, he just left a few minutes ago." Kara said. "Good, I can catch him in a third of that time." Barry said, before running off to try and catch Billy.

Barry ran to to front of the building, managing to catch Billy right before he left. "Billy, are you okay?" He asks, he realized that losing may have damaged his pride a significant amount, more then when he discovered Barry has a quirk. "Why does it matter, I lost, why should anyone care if I'm okay." Billy began, "Your father took away the only person who ever cared about me. He took away the one person who loved me." "You can think what you want about my father, even if I know it's not true, but stop beating yourself up just because you think no one cares about you!" Barry said. "I never stopped wanting to be your friend again, Billy, I know that separating from you right as your mother disappeared was the wrong thing to do. But all 10 of these years, I regretted that, I still cared about you Billy!" Barry said, suddenly having tears flowing out of his eyes. He was able to open up his feelings, able to voice his regrets. He accepted that he did the wrong thing and was no prepared to move on. "Whatever, Barry, You care about me, sure, but does anyone else?" Billy began. "First, Your dad takes my mom away from me, then, you somehow manage to get into the school of my dreams. You suddenly have a quirk and manage to take out a giant robot with no experience? When I was watching that training session, I realized that Damian could probably beat me in a fight unless it was head to head, and that stupid ice girl made me realize I did the worst in our session. Only one person cares about me and I keep on losing? Yeah, Barry, keep spewing out that you regret leaving me alone, with no mother, no family, and the amazing ability to stay away from the people who want to put me in a foster home. It means nothing." Barry just stood there, with dried up snot and tears lying on his face. Not realizing how much pain Billy felt all these years, thinking that Barry's dad killed his mom. Billy walked away in silence, managing to keep the tears away. Walking away from Barry, and walking away from his beloved school.

...

"Hey, Lex, we're attacking DA soon, right?" asks a hooded figure. "Yes, we'll attempt to kill that alien bafoon on site, but this is more of a test run for our project." Lex answers. "Doomsday is a bit much to release on a school filled of children that could potentially turn to our side. So, we'll use it instead." "Why am I even doing this? I came back from the future because one of your lackey's forced me to, dropped some kryptonite near someone to confirm what their quirk was, but I don't even know why" the hooded figure questions. "You'll be meeting someone very...important, in your life." Lex answers, "That's what the older you told me before he passed" "Yeah, I'm doing this to prevent myself from dying, almost forgot." The figure said, "Age is a tricky thing, isn't it."
