"Expulsion!!" The whole class yelled at once, all except Billy, who was confident he would come in 1st. "Is that really fair? We just got here!" Katlin countered. "So, in the face of adversity, heroes plead instead of trying their best?" Bruce said. Katlin had nothing else to say, he was right, anyone who couldn't step up, didn't deserve to be attending the number one hero school. Either way, something felt off. Only one person in there class didn't get any points to show for physical talent, and that was Allen.

Unknown to the students, Clark was hiding on the side of the building, watching all of this unfold. He knew he would've singled Allen out from the start, getting into DA with no battle points was a feat only a few could accomplish, but it was unacceptable for Bruce. If a hero without a quirk can get battle points, a hero with a quirk should be able to get them just fine. If they couldn't, their quirk either was better suited for another form of hero work, or it was completely useless for combat and rescues. Bruce assumed the latter for young Allen.

"Batson, come up to that circle on the floor." Bruce told Billy. Billy followed orders and went to the circle. "Now, throw one of those balls without your quirk. Billy threw the ball as far as he could. Bruce looked down to a monitor he was holding. "12.2 meters. Now try it again, with your quirk." Billy yelled Shazam, and then using all of his might, threw the ball again. Bruce looked down again, "1,637,9 meters." The entire class was shocked. "He can throw a ball that far with his quirk?" Garfield asked in shock. Bruce answered, "Yes, and I expect all of you to do at least half as good." That set the stakes really high, if anyone got below about 819 meters in a throw when using their quirk, they would have a high chance of being expelled.

Bruce started separating everyone by group, luckily Barry was separated from Billy. Although Billy would eventually find out Barry had a quirk, he was still worried about the reaction to come. Barry's group contained Garfield or 'Garf', Kory, Jax and Stein and Oliver. Their first test was Grip Strength. Barry couldn't use his quirk for this, but he was relatively strong for his age. But DA was a school for potential heroes, everyone else was significantly stronger than him. He had the weakest grip strength, with Garf having the highest. Using his quirk, Garf transformed into a elephant, and used his trunk to accomplish the grip strength of 4,047 pounds of force.

The next test was the standing long jump. Once again Barry's quirk was useless for this, he almost came in last but he managed to beat Jax & Stein by a tiny bit, managing to jump 3.2 meters, compared to Jax & Stein's 3.1 meters. Kory managed to jump over the entire sand pile, well, more like fly over.

The next exercise was the seated toe touch, which was mostly straight-forward. Barry managed to reach his feet the fastest, utilizing his quirk in his arms. It hurt him a bit, but not enough to dislocate any bones.

The next exercise had everyone gather together, to preform the ball throw. They had to reach 819 meters, this would be insanely hard to pull off. The first person to go up was Chuck. First, he threw the ball high in the air, then he jumped up and inflated. He bounced off the ground, deflated, and then inflated once again as the ball was falling right in front of him. Somehow, that managed to reach 820 meters. Everyone was shocked, including Batman, muttering something about 'plot-convience' Everyone else took turns throwing Balls, With Kara managing to throw it 1,189 meters. Oliver threw the ball in the air, loaded an explosive arrow onto his bow, (he was allowed to have a bow as it was basically essential for his quirk.) and with full concentration, aimed the bow perfectly at the ball, with the explosion launching the ball 857 meters. Cisco made a portal, dropped the ball through it, and got 1,002 meters, he couldn't make it go any farther. Katlin threw the ball, and then made a giant ice bat, managing to get 819 meters exactly. Everyone else kept on going, getting between the 900-1000 range, with the exception of Bat-mite, who got a throw of 12 meters. Stating he was holding back and didn't use his quirk so that he could be 'just like Batman.' In the end, it was finally Barry's turn.

Barry had been formulating a plan while watching, everyone else had thrown their ball and then used their quirks, but he planned to put all his speed into his arm, throwing the ball. Bruce noticed he was going all out once again, and pulled out a batarang. Barry activated his speed in his arm and was about to throw the ball, but the ball was suddenly smacked out of his hand. When he looked at the ball on the floor, he saw the batarang lying on the edge of it. He looked back at Mr.Wayne and saw that he looked like he had just thrown something, he assumed it was the batarang. "If you're just going to destroy yourself whenever you use your quirk, you might as well leave right now" Bruce said. "Pick up another ball and try again, I won't stop you this time." Barry was scared, if he couldn't come up with another plan, he might as well fail right then and there. Then an idea popped into his mind.

Barry picked up another ball and threw it into the air. He powered his leg for a kick, knowing it wouldn't break or dislocate as easily as his arm would. Then as the ball fell right above him, he spun around with his leg in a kick position, knowing it would increase the force he outputted, and kicked the ball at 342 mph.
The ball flew and flew and flew, leaving everyone in shock, especially Billy. Finally the ball landed and Bruce looked down to the monitor.

"1,636.9 meters."

For the rest of class, they continued with the quirk apprehension test with the results for each test being:

Winner of 50-meter dash: Billy Batson
Winner of Long Distance Run: Barry Allen
Winner of Repeated side-steps: Kara Danvers
Winner of Sit-ups: Val Armorr
Winner of Toe Touch: Patrick O'Brian
Winner of Ball Throw: Billy Batson
Winner of Grip Strength: Garfield Mark Logan
Winner of Standing Long Jump: Hal Jordan

After all of the winners of each test was announced, Mr.Wayne announced to the students they would now be receiving their rankings. The whole class tensed up, even if every person only had a 1/20 chance to be expelled, they were still on edge, not everyone was good at everything. Mr.Wayne smiled and released the rankings on a screen.

1. Batson
2. Danvers
3. Koriand'r
4. Wayne
5. Snow
6. Ramon
7. Curry
8. Swan
9. Mark Logan
10. Morse
11. Queen

13. Jordan
14. O'Brian
15. Hall
16. Armorr
17. Taine
18. Beecher-Duncan
19. Allen
20. Bat-mite

Allen had a sigh of relief, he was very close to being expelled, but not being expelled wasn't good enough. He had to be better if he wanted to become a Pro.

"Unfortunately, I literally can't expel Bat-Mite. He'll just make a new universe where I don't expel anyone, or he'll make one where I expel everyone but him." Bruce explained. "The next option is number 19." Barry's eyes widened, he was going to be expelled, on day 1. "Fortunately for you, I was never going to expel anyone." Bruce says with a smile. "But, Allen, you need to do better, and that goes for anyone who ranked under 14." With that, The Class started to go back inside. Bruce walks over to the corner where Clark was. "You were going to expel one of them, weren't you." Clark questioned. "And if I was?" Bruce asked. "I didn't and that's all what matters, now I suggest you get out of the shadows, that's my territory." Clark left with a smirk, thinking Wayne saw the potential in Allen that he does.

Class ended and the class went to lunch. School was ending early today, as orientation was the only thing ready today. Barry was looking around for a place to sit, and spotted Kara and Oliver. He went over to sit with them and they ate lunch while chatting about home, DA and other interesting things. Eventually, Oliver brought up that his Dad owned the largest Hero-for-Hire agency on the planet. Barry was amazed and wanted to know more, but suddenly the lunch bell rang.

The three decided to walk home together, each explaining their living situation. It eventually came up that Barry was a foster child, which made Kara feel bad for him. Barry explained that he wanted to become a hero that would bring his mom justice, and free his unfairly imprisoned dad. "That reminds me, I saw the man in the yellow suit during the entrance exams." Barry said. Oliver and Kara were stunned, not only did someone manage to get through DA's security, Barry had forgotten all about it! "How do you forgot something like that?" Kara asked. "I guess my drive for becoming a hero overshadowed my want for revenge." Barry explained.

The group split up at an intersection and started heading home.

Barry arrived home and informed Joe and Iris about what had happened that day. He then went to bed, ready for the challenges DA would throw at him.

Or so he thought.
