"Yoo-hoo," You said as you peeked your head into the potions classroom with a bright smile. Your husband of years, Severus Snape, immediately perked up and smiled slightly. "Special delivery." You said and showed him the small basket that you held in your hand. He motioned for you to come inside, you greeting the students that were hunched over their potions books. "Here you are, lacewings flies, leeches and one ashwinder egg. You have no idea how hard it was to get a hold of this, the snake almost got me!" You said, placing your hands on your hips with a side looped smile."You're not hurt are you?" He asked, worry immediately filling his eyes as he took your hand in his. You smiled gently at him.
"I'm fine my love, i know how to handle my beasts." You said, grabbing the basket from the desk. "Oh i almost forgot! I came across some knotgrass on my way here." You said and grabbed it from the bottom of the basket. You looked at your husband, and he looked at you with pure love and affection in his eyes. "Oh stop it you." You nudged him with a small smile. "I have to get going, but I'll se you at lunch." You said, pressing a small kiss on his lips. You smiled at his flushed face before you grabbed your basket and walked outside.
You and Severus met when you were in Hogwarts. You were Lily's best friend and knew about the rather obvious crush that he had on her. At that time you didn't mind, you weren't to interested in him, you had a crush on Sirius Black. Nothing romantic happened then, but when he started working at Hogwarts you found each other again.
But you were the opposite of each other, and that's why you fit so well together. You were, bright, kind and cheerful. Always wearing cozy clothes in nature colours and being friends with everyone. Not one person had said something bad about you and people often came to you for advise, even Dumbledore. You were the care of magical creatures teacher at Hogwarts, along with Hagrid. You educated every other grade each.
Severus on the other hand were dark and mysterious. He didn't like to socialise too much and had a rather dull personality. But you succeeded to bring out the best in him, loving everything about him. He loved you too, very much, but he was always scared for your sake. Since he was a death eater he was terrified that You-know-who would kill you. But you assured him that it wasn't going to happen, The dark lord trusted him too well.
Later that day, it was time to visit Hogsmeade. You and Severus were going along with the students and some other teachers as well. But first you had a lesson with the fourth graders. After collecting all the things you needed for the class from your office, you walked outside, the lukewarm spring air greeting you, and walked towards the great lake where you had told the students to assemble. When you got there you saw Neville Longbottom standing in the lake, looking for something.
"Good morning Neville." You said as you let the floating trolley sit on the ground with your wand.
"Good morning Mrs Snape." He smiled, looking up for a short moment.
"What are you doing?" You asked him, curious to what he was up to.
"I'm looking for Gillyweed." He said, grabbing a seagrass looking plant from the bottom of the lake. "It gives you the ability to breath under the water."
"I am well aware of that." You smiled. "I assume that it's for the Triwizard competition, for Harry maybe?" You asked and Neville nodded with a smile. "Clever, very clever." You said, "Good work finding it, it can be a bit tricky sometimes. I went out with Severus once, he needed it for his potion supplies. I picked the wrong one at least ten times before i got it right. It's the small strings at the bottom that's different from the other vascular plants, and perhaps the slightly rounded leafs." You said and he nodded.
You started unpacking the supplies that you needed for the lesson. You were currently working with water creatures and were going to release some tadpoles that you had been taking care of into the lake. Grabbed a small table, using a spell to make it bigger and placed a small aquarium on it, the small tadpole babies swimming around. You had planted some seeds of Gillyweed in the tank, to make the small creatures feel more at home.
