Chaeryeong stands in the corner, quietly sipping on her drink; non-alcoholic, of course. She has no idea why she even agreed to come to this party. When she and Yeji arrived, she knew right away that this is definitely not her thing.
She heaves a sigh and leans on the wall behind her, "Where the hell even are you, Hwang Yeji?" she muttered, angry at the older girl. She had absolutely no intentions of spending her night at a party filled with drunk and stinky dudes, horny ass teenagers and these colourful drinks that smell horrible.
She glances at the now empty red solo cup in her hand before dropping her arm, "Having fun there?" a voice interrupted. She turns and makes eye contact with a tall, red headed boy. "Can't you tell?" she sarcastically questioned.
He chuckles and stuffs his free hand in his pocket, "You don't seem like the type of girl who'd go to a party." he stated, his eyes running through the crowd of people. Chaeryeong rolls her eyes and snorts, "Yeah, thanks for noticing." she replied.
"So, why are you even here, then?" he asked and gazes at her, anticipating an answer. But being the stubborn girl she is, she answers, "That's a very unnecessary question." and it made the boy roll his eyes.
"Just answer the question."Chaeryeong contemplates before sighing, "My friend dragged me here, now I don't even know where she's at." he hums as he leans on the wall beside her, their shoulders grazing each other. "I was going to ditch her and leave, but I forgot that we came here with her boyfriend."
He smirks at her before asking, "You were going to ditch her?" she nods. "Like, why do people even go to parties?" he stays silent, not wanting to interfere and listens to her rambling. "This party is lame, anyways.. Disgusting drinks, boys trying to hit on me and the music is so loud as well, plus, this ain't my genre." she complained.
He smiles, "Then, what is your preferred genre?" he asked. Chaeryeong shrugs her shoulders, "I like jazz, R&B, pop.. Something in between." she paused. "But, EDM? Ugh, no, thank you."
He leans closer to her, "You can request a song, though." he whispered, causing her to stifle a laugh. "On side note, why are we even talking to each other? I don't even know your name." she said and he smiled, shrugging.
"Chae!" the voice made the two whip their heads around. Chaeryeong mumbled something like, "There you are, you little pussy." before she walked over to her, holding up her fist as if to threaten the girl. "You finally decided to show up after leaving me here?!" she intimidatingly muttered.
"Oh, you're one of Yeji's friends?" the boy questioned, walking up to them. "I see that you've met the host!"
Chaeryeong's eyes widens, "The what!?" Yeji smiles. "The host." the boy said. "It's okay, no hard feelings." he grinned at her and holds his hand out in front of her. "Taehyun, host of tonight's party."
Chaeryeong was obviously shaken up, but she quickly shook his hand. "Lee Chaeryeong." she introduced, hesitantly smiling. The two glance at Yeji, only to find the spot empty. "What!? Where did she go now?!" the girl bursts out.
Taehyun laughs, "Woah, there, princess. Calm down, I bet she's in a corner somewhere in this house, with Yeonjun." he retorted as he walks towards a chair, setting his cup down on its cushion.
As he approaches her again, he smiles. "Wanna get out of here?" he asked, totally enjoying the girl's remarks and reactions. An exaggerated gasp escapes Chaeryeong's mouth, "As much as I want to, no." she answered.
Taehyun snickers, "Why not?" he asked, again. "We're practically strangers, the only thing I know about you is your name." Chaeryeong stated, "You know my age, though." he cut her off as she was about to say something.
