"Jisu, honey! Your friend is here!"
Lia rushes down the stairs with a wide grin on her face, "Coming!" she exclaimed as she jogs towards the door. She swings open the door and squeals at the sight of her best friend, "Yeji-yah!" she shouted and lunges herself onto the girl.
Yeji catches her and immediately let out a laugh, "You big baby, you missed me that much?" she asked, arms wrapping around the younger. Lia hums whilst nodding her head, Yeji could tell she wants to cry when she let out a long whine.
"You were away for 9 months, how could I not?!" she said, playfully hitting Yeji's shoulder before pulling herself off of her. Yeji chuckles at the girl, "Can I come in now?" she cocks an eyebrow at Lia.
Lia, technically, yanks the girl inside. Footsteps from the kitchen could be heard and the two turn to it, "Yeji?" Lia's mother exclaimed with a gasp. The taller amongst the two nods, Mrs. Choi walks towards her and engulfs her in a tight hug.
"It's been so long since I last saw you! Look at you, you're taller than Jisu now." the woman exclaimed, teasing her own daughter with a playful smirk. Lia dramatically clutches her chest, "Mom, that's just plain rude!" she commented.
Laughter filled the room, "Are you back for good?" Mrs. Choi questioned the taller. Yeji softly smiles, "Of course, I think I've had enough of living in London." she muttered. Mrs. Choi chuckles, "Feel free to stay sometimes, or.. 'crash', according to teenagers these days." said the woman, using quotation marks.
Yeji giggles and enthusiastically nods her head, "You should use teen slangs now, it makes you a cool mom!" she joked, holding up finger guns. Laughter erupts before the two friends actually make it up the stairs and into Lia's room.
. . .
"Lia-yah.." Yeji lazily mumbled as she sprawls on the younger's bed. The girl hums in response, her eyes still on the laptop screen in front of her. "I think I like someone.." she confessed.
The room was silent for a few seconds, it only took Lia two seconds to jump off her seat and onto the space next to Yeji. "Are you serious?!?" she yelled. Yeji closes her eyes, "Yes.." and that's when Lia screeched, so damn loudly that she might've even woke her mother up.
But she couldn't care less, "Tell me, tell me, tell me, tell me~!" she exclaimed whilst holding onto the elder's arm and shaking it vigorously. Yeji groans at Lia's girly behaviour - she knows when it comes to talking about crushes, Lia would negotiate her to the point where she couldn't escape.
"I met this guy in London, he's actually Korean." Yeji started. "He's really sweet and goofy most of the times, we met at the dance academy and we kind of became friends." Lia grins widely at Yeji's description of the guy.
"Kind of?"
Yeji nods her head, "We're not that close, but we occasionally would make small talk." she muttered. Lia chuckles and crosses her legs, preparing herself for the long hours of storytelling. "Describe his facial features!"
"His eyes look intimidating, but his smile is the contrary. His hair's dyed blonde, his nose is sharp, his jawline stands out the most. Don't even get me started on his eye smile."
Lia smirks, "Tell me, then." she commanded, but Yeji shook her head. "Let's stop here, I'm tired. Plus, it's half past midnight." she stated, trying her best to get out of the situation. Lia peeks at the clock and hisses in disapproval, "Correct, but I'm not stopping." she said.
Yeji loudly groans, "Stop, I'm sleepy~" she whined. Lia scowls at her, thinking for a moment. "Fine, but I'm not letting you go without telling me his name and age." said Lia, crossing her arms over her chest. "Gotta make sure he fits the best-friend's-boyfriend-description."
Yeji rolls her eyes at the younger, "His name is Yeonjun," she said. Lia freezes at the name, No.. She didn't mention his full name.. She thought and waited for Yeji to continue. "He's twenty one years-old."
N-No.. It can't be.
It can't possibly be him, right?
Before Yeji could lay down on one side of the bed, "W-What's his surname?" Lia stuttered, causing Yeji to look over at her in concern. "...Choi, why?" the elder hesitated to answer considering Lia's state.
No... No way..
The girl reaches over to her bedside and grabs her phone, scrolling through her gallery for a few seconds before showing Yeji a picture of him. "Is.. Is that h-him?" she stuttered, yet again. Yeji's brows furrow as she slowly props her body up, "Yeah.. Where did you get this?" she asked.
"He's-.. He's a friend of mine." Liar.
A smile found its way onto Yeji's face, "Oh, that's great!" she exclaimed, smiling. "Maybe you could give me his number!"
"Yeah.." No, I can't.
"Do you.. Want it now?" she questioned the girl. Yeji contemplates for a moment before reaching for her phone, "Yeah, sure." she said, handing her phone to Lia. The younger slowly takes the phone from her hand.
This is wrong..
I can't.
But.. She's already in love with him.
Lia sets the phone down, "U-Unnie.." she called. Yeji's eyebrows shot up in worry, "What's wrong?" she asked. "A-Actually..
Yeonjun's my-.." Yeji waits for her to finish. "He's my boyfriend.." she mumbled, refusing to look up at Yeji, afraid to find out her reaction. "Oh..."

A random idea.. Didn't think it through though, so that's gReAt..
Hope you have/had a nice day! Stay safe, bye!
