Lisa smiles victoriously as she drops the phone in Jennie's lap, "Have fun on Saturday!" she exclaimed before dashing out of the room.
Jennie rolls her eyes, still not checking her phone. "I'm not going anywhere on Saturday, idiot." she mumbled, to which the younger pops her head back into the room. "You are now!"
Jennie confusedly gazes at her doorway where Lisa had just stood in, once she realized what she meant, she fumbled to unlock her phone. "LISA-YAH!"
---
"Oh, hi." Jennie greeted the masked figure who tapped on her shoulder. He takes off the mask and smiles, "Jennie, right?" he questioned, eyes searching for an answer. Once she nods her head, the smile on his face grows wider.
"Nice to meet you! I'm Taehyung," he exclaimed, holding out a hand. Jennie hesitantly holds onto his hand and shakes it, "Nice to meet you too, Taehyung." she said, returning the smile.
Taehyung shuffles to the chair in front of Jennie and sits down, "Why'd you suddenly ask me out?" he asked, curious and eager. Jennie mouths an 'oh' before scratching her head, "Actually, that was my friend," she confessed, causing Taehyung to chuckle.
"She wanted me to ask you out, but I declined. So, she asked you herself and now, here we are." she explained, stammering. Taehyung playfully cocks an eyebrow, "And why did you decline?" he asked, as if he's interviewing her.
Jennie gives him a glare before shrugging her shoulders, "Am I at an interview or am I on a date?" she questioned, mirroring Taehyung's action and raising her eyebrow. "I don't know, Jen.. Are we on a date?"
Jennie jolts at the nickname but decides to change the topic before she actually gets fed up with him, "You seem awfully outgoing to be hanging around me," she stated. The corners of Taehyung's mouth curls up, "Yeah, well.. I'm that one person who's always energetic." he said.
"I can see that," said the girl.
Taehyung's eyes roam around for anything that could get him out of this awkward atmosphere, "Oh, hey.. We should order." he said, realizing that they've been sitting in a cafe. Jennie turns her head towards the counter, her lips pouting out as she focuses on the menu that's hanging above.
Taehyung stands up from his chair, "What would you like?" he asked, looking over at her just before walking away from their table. "Just.. Get me a hot chocolate," she responded, a small smile playing on her lips.
A few minutes passed and Taehyung came back with two hot chocolates in his hands, "I thought it'd be cute if we drank the same thing," he commented, setting the drinks down on the round table before settling down back in his seat.
Jennie's cheeks grows warm and her ears turn a bit red, "O-Oh, uh.." she stuttered, hesitating to grab onto the warm mug. Taehyung grins at her and gently pushes a mug in front of her, his boxy smile not being any help to her right now.
"You know, you're cute when you're blushing." Jennie groans in embarrassment, hiding her tomato face in her palms. It makes Taehyung want to squish her in a tight hug, but thankfully, he manages to refrain himself.
"Okay, okay. I'll stop since you're so embarrassed." he remarked, giggling at Jennie's little squeal after he scrunched up his nose. "Aren't you glad that your friend asked me out?"
Jennie's expression changed as fast as lightning at the reminder of her friend, "That rascal brings anything but joy," she said, "But I'm glad that I have a reason to not go to a family dinner." she said. Taehyung gives her a pout before she rolls her eyes.
"And.. Yeah, sure. You could say that I'm also glad that I'm out on a date." she confessed, each word rolling off her tongue very slowly. A few seconds of silence lingered, before laughter takes over the two.
"I'm thankful you said that, because you won't believe how sulky I can get over something as small as that." he managed to make a comment in between his laughs. Jennie shakes her head whilst gently slapping her knee, "But, jokes aside," she said and the laughter dies down a bit.
"It's nice to finally go out after taking a break from love for a while.." she mumbled, giving Taehyung a shy smile. Taehyung hums and brings the mug to his lips, sipping on the hot chocolate. "This is actually my first ever date," he said.
Jennie's eyes widens, "Seriously?" she asked, slightly raising her voice. He nods his head, "After a few rumours about me dating my 'gorgeous bodyguard'," he mockingly said, using quotation marks. "I've been terrified, so I've never actually went out before."
Jennie clicks her tongue a few times, "You got hate for that?" she questioned. He frowns and she takes that as a yes, "People need to stop fantasizing about their 'oppas' and do some other things, don't you agree?" she retorted.
"I mean, instead of staring at pictures, they should actually meet people in real life. Go explore the outside world, discover some new things.. But no, they choose to stare at some guy's face who's probably a fake, acting all sweet and caring when he's literally a dick." she said, making Taehyung silently gasp at the curse word.
Jennie shakes her head, dismissing whatever-the-hell she was ranting about. "Anyway, it's great that you're taking another step forward." she stated, a crooked smile displayed on her pretty face. Taehyung only stares in awe, "Celebrities tend to back down when it comes to loving, but I see that you're willing to risk your career to do that."
"Be my girlfriend." Jennie chokes on, apparently, nothing. She gazes at him in confusion and shock, "Tell me you're joking," she said, whining.
He shakes his head, "I'm serious," he muttered. "Taehyung, we just met."
"And what's the problem with that?"
"Well, I don't know the real you yet.. I don't know if I can fully trust you or not," she reasoned out, crossing her legs under the table. Taehyung shrugs, "Well, that was embarrassing." he remarked, after letting silence take over for a few seconds.
"Then, give me a week," Jennie gives him a questioning look. "I'll take you out on other dates and then, I'll ask you again at the end of the week."
It wasn't a bad idea, really. Jennie is just being a chicken. "Well.." she trailed off, her eyes blinking every two seconds. Taehyung chuckles at her, "I'll take that as a yes!" he exclaimed.
