Let's play a love game

I see white.

When my eyes finally adjust, I notice an IV in my arm, and a heart monitor on my thumb. It all finally comes to me; I was knocked out.

I glance to my left and sitting before me is Charles.

He is asleep. I don't want to wake him up since the clock across the room says
'2:43 AM'
I'm awake now, and it seems like a lot of visitors had come today due to all the stuffed animals piled up on my right side.

I poked Charles, and he wakes up.

Once he finally realizes I am awake, he gets up and hugs me tight.

"I'm so glad you're okay! That hit knocked you out. You have no injuries except for a bruise, thank god."

I smile. The doctor comes in and informs us that I will be released in the morning.

We both fall back to sleep.

I wake up to the sound of a very happy Charles. He jumps up and down, for I am released.

I get wheeled out to his car and hop in. We head back to his house with all my new stuffed animals.

I reach into my purse looking for my phone, and accidentally grab my wallet.

I do not have a good grip on it, and all my cash spills out.

"I know I had over $500 in here!"

Charles looks shocked, "I wasn't the only visitor that came into your room, Jenna did."

"I knew she was desperate for money!"

"Let's play a love game. I'll offer her cash to 'do the dirty work' and you will be recording this while in hiding. Put your purse on the bed, and I'll leave the room for a short amount of time. If you see her take anything from your purse, it's on video meanwhile we have evidence of her real job. We'll expose her!" Charles suggests.

"You're a genius!"

He texts Jenna to come over, and I get in position.

She arrives in the room.

Charles says, "I was wrong about what I said at the game yesterday. I think we need to get down to business," while sliding a 50 dollar bill to her.

She winks. "So I guess you have heard of me."

He smiles and says, "yes, I'll grab us some drinks."

He leaves the room.

Jenna notices the purse and opens it.

She grabs my wallet and takes the remaining cash.

I now have proof on camera.

Charles and I both spring out from where we were.

I wave my camera at her.

"You bitch!" She screams.

She lunges at me, but I am still recording and let her hit me. That's one more lawsuit.

After she figures out that Charles isn't interested in her, she leaves.

I send an anonymous text with the video to the entire school.

I look over at Charles and say, "Payback's a bitch."
