Faouzia & John Legend - Minefields

---

The next morning I wake up with no one next to me. I look at the bathroom and see Shawn's naked body in the shower.

Good morning...

I smirk and climb out of bed, opening the door to the balcony.

'We're going to the king's grave today.' He says while handing me a cup of tea.

'I still do not get the point of watching dead important people - in a casket nonetheless - as a sightseeing trip.' I take a sip of my tea, burning my tongue.

I swallow the pain away and look at Shawn taking a seat across from me.

'Me neither, but we can't do nothing and just lay in bed all day.' Shawn says.

'True... what if we visit the king's grave today and stay in bed all day tomorrow?' I propose.

'We can do that... yeah.' Shawn takes a sip of his coffee.

After we finish our morning beverage we both get up to change into normal clothes. I decide to put on a green polo with white skinny jeans.

When I open the door of the bathroom I see Shawn styling his hair, but I get distracted by his outfit. For the first time, I see him wearing something else than a hoodie or a t-shirt. He is wearing a red polo with white-blue boats on it and a pair of black jeans. It looks really good on him. When he turns around he crosses his arms in front of his chest.

Were his arms always this muscular?

'Where are you looking at?' He asks with a smile on his face.

'N-Nothing...' I look away from his arms and move past him to the mirror.

'Do you have curls?' He asks when he sees me pulling my hair into a ponytail.

'No. I have waves when I get out of the shower.' I smile at him.

'Why have I never seen them?'

'Because if we shower together I never wash my hair.' I comb my ponytail before turning around to face him.

'Yeah, no shit.' He frowns.

'Ok, let's make a deal. Tomorrow I'll show you my hair when it's wet, but I don't want you to tell me that it's beautiful and give me the "oh my god Beth you have to wear it like this sometimes." speech because I'm not doing any of that shit.' I stick my hand out to him.

'I'll do my best.' He says before shaking my hand.

I turn around and leave the bathroom. I hear Shawn follow me outside and we walk to the elevator together.

What would he be thinking right now?

He is right, he wouldn't be cheating on me. He is loyal, but he is lying about something and I just know it. I can feel it in my bones. When a client is withholding something about the case I always sense it, just like in Madrid and I am going to find out the truth, I'm sure of it.

"Listen to your feelings... They are always right...' my mum's words ring in my ears. They probably aren't my mum's words, it's just my unconscious mind that's sensing something wrong and warning me through a vision of my mum.

The door... what's with the door...? Why would I show myself a door with something scary behind it?

We are walking around a big square with a big building in the centre of the square. It's a high white beautiful building with a small green roof. Shawn and I walk up the stairs leading to the building hand in hand.
