Chapter 44

Tate McRae - Stupid

The last day of our stay was nice. We said goodbye to Brian and Wren. I've grown to like Brian more and more during our stay, he is funny and every time Shawn and I bickered he chose my side, which I liked very much.

'You have a puppy!?' I squealed when I looked through Brian's Instagram.

'He's not a puppy anymore, but yeah, I have a dog.' He smiled at me while showing me more pictures.

'I like that you guys are bonding, but my jealousy doesn't allow me to let you sit this close to Beth.' Shawn said to Brian before squeezing his body between us.

'I always wanted a husky when I was younger.' I smiled at Brian.

'Me too, that's why I bought one now.' He laughed.

Yeah, the time we spent with Brian was nice. Wren on the other hand turned out to be a sexually frustrated dick and unfortunately I agreed with Shawn when he told me he doesn't want him around me.

'I told you from the start that I don't like him.' Shawn growled at me while packing his suitcase.

I groaned and agreed with him while I put the necklace Wren gave me somewhere in my suitcase. In the car on our way back to Europe, I even deleted Wren from my Instagram. 

When we came back from the two nights under the stars he kept coming to me in the pool and making inappropriate, nasty comments and when I told him I will chop his dick off when he talks to me like that one more time he luckily stopped. 

Shawn got all angry at me because I told him about it two days later, but then I threatened him too - it's not like he takes me seriously or anything when I threaten him, but I tried - and he stopped whining about it.

On the last day of our stay in Merzouga, Niya exchanged numbers with Shawn and me, and we even set a date for when she and her husband will be visiting the Netherlands. Shawn was complaining about how friendly I am to everyone I have met this vacation.

'That is what normal people do!' I said while holding his hand.

'We are not normal!'

I laughed and to be honest there is a truth in that statement.

We are two more hours away from the Netherlands and to be honest, I can't wait to be home! I loved this vacation and it has been an amazing experience, but I've missed my own house and I missed my family. 

Lucifer and I talked over the phone a couple of times and he told me that the girl he was chasing back to England was sleeping with her ex-boyfriend when he finally arrived at her apartment.

'She wasn't good anyway.' Lucifer complained.

'She wasn't good with wha--' I stopped myself from asking. 'You know what... never mind. I'll see you in a few days.' I said before hanging up the phone.

There is one hour left before we arrive in the Netherlands and my leg starts to move up and down out of excitement. 

It's the beginning of May and I cannot believe how fast the time went by.

Shawn and I have known each other for four months now, wow, that is a pretty long time. Three months... we've been in a relationship for three months... that's really long, especially for a person like me, well, just the first month of our relationship was already a pretty long time for a person like me.

'Where are you going when we arrive?' I ask Shawn while staring out the window.

The thought of being parted from Shawn suddenly feels weird after spending so much time with each other, every hour of every day for the past two months.
