Dueling Club

(Y/N) Pov

Right now everyone was gathered inside the Great Hall. You see, after what I said at breakfast, Dumbledore informed us that he had something to announce and he decided that since we were all in a good mood because of the scene he had previously witnessed that the best time to say what he had to say was right after it.

And he surprised us all, when he said that due to the attacks that have happened, he to let Lockhart start a Dueling Club so we could learn how to defend ourselves in case we needed to.

There was no need for a seer to see the excitement that surged on everyone's faces when they heard about the dueling Club but almost everyone groaned when right after they were informed that Lockhart would be the one teaching us.

That's how we ended up here in the Great Hall, waiting for Mr. Narcissistic to show, Hades was with me, he kept insisting that I took him to this dueling Club and I thought why not. He could scare people if the club got too boring or he could even scare Lockhart if he starts to annoy me with his lame excuse for cheesy lines.

Almost every girl swooned when he entered the room and got up on the table that was in the middle of the Great Hall,it made me want to puke.

Lockhart: Gather around! Gather around! Can everybody see me? Can you all hear me? Excellent. In the light of the dark events of recent weeks, Professor Dumbledore has granted me permission to teach this dueling club, to train you all up, in case you ever need to defend yourselves,as I myself have done on many occasions.

I saw Professor Snape near the door, so I waved in greeting, I returned my gaze to the joke on the table but from the corner of my eye I could see Snape nod in return.

He took his cloak off and threw it in my direction, I didn't want to be anywhere near it so I grabbed my wand and pointed at the piece of fabric that was getting close to me.

(Y/N): Wingardium Leviosa.

The cloak was now under the control of my spell so I made it travel to the other side of the room purposely witting Lockhart in the face, the boys in the room laughed while the girls glared at me but even being the reason that people are laughing didn't take the smug smile he had on.

Draco: Nice one!

We high five each other, Hermione that was near Harry and Ron didn't look as amused as we were but I couldn't say the some of the two boys by her side, it surprised me that Harry found something I did amusing but I took everyone win I could get.

Lockhart: Let me introduce my assistant, Professor Snape.

Profer Snape made his way to the table looking as stoic as ever not that I blame him, working with the man next to him must be mentally exhausting.

(Y/N): They should've made Lockhart the assistant. Professor Snape is going to end him in seconds.

All the Slytherins agreed with me, I could see some Hufflepuffs doing the same but since he was seen as a  dreamily handsome from some of the female students and had a fan club because of his appearance I was being glared for the comment I did but that didn't scare me so I just glared back, Hades raised his head from my shoulder and hissed at them, the combination of my glare and his hiss was enough to make all of them stop glaring.

Lockhart: He has sportingly agreed to help me with a short demonstration. Now, I don't any of you youngsters to worry. You'll still have your Potions Master when I'm through with him. Never fear.

(Y/N): Trust me, we aren't worried about that. We think that you should be that one to worry after all we might need a new DADA teacher after he's done with you.
