First Task

I looked around the courtyard seeing the three other champions, I would be lying if I said I wasn't nervous, everyone will have a strategy that will bring out their strengths, right now my biggest strength is knowing more spells than them due to my extensive reading and practice, and also cause of Uncle and Lucius who would always teach me something during the summer, I would have to use another wand due to not being allowed to do magic outside of Hogwarts, Uncle taught me all the spells he had created, they were awesome and the card up my sleeve, I worry that the spell that lets me communicate with dragons won't work but I have a backup plan and a backup to the backup plan.

The day arrived and my body was tingling with nerves and some excitement, almost everyone was pacing except Viktor who was putting on his cloak, I could hear the warning announcements, and I sighed.

Draco: Psst. (Y/N).

I turned around and move the sheet of the tent a little seeing Draco, my nerves immediately subsided.

Draco: How are you feeling, my love?

(Y/N): Better now but very nervous.

Draco: You'll do great. I know it, if you still feel nervous when it's your turn just look at me when you go into the arena, I'll be cheering for you the loudest I can just focus that brilliant mind of yours on the strategies you made, okay?

I nodded and gave him a slight smile before putting my arms around his neck and giving him a kiss, he put his arms around my waist, squeezing it and pulling me closer, one of his hands let go of my waist and trailed up my body stopping on my neck and jaw, his thumb stroking the skin near my lips before settling on my neck, I hear a camera shutter taking me out of the trance I was in while kissing him, we both looked at the source, already knowing who it was I scowled at the woman, I might have to remind her of the warning I gave her the day of the interview.

Rita: Ahh young love. How stirring.

She walked inside the tent like she owned the place and stopped in front of us.

Rita: If everything goes, unfortunately, today I guess you will be looking for another girlfriend Mr.Malfoy, you two might even make the front page.

Viktor: You have no business here. This tent is for champions, friends, and loved ones, you're none of the above so leave.

Rita: Ah, yes, how could I forget the third person in this love triangle.

We all made disgusted faces, don't get me wrong I love Viktor as a friend or a brother even, and I'm sure he thinks the same about me so the thought of a love triangle with him was just absolutely repulsive.

Lucius: If I were you I would stop spouting nonsense and think before posting any of it Miss Skeeter, wouldn't want anything to happen to your career because you wrote lies about the wrong person, now would we?

Lucius appeared with Uncle, both having heard the commotion that was happening while entering the tent.

Uncle: It seems like you need a reminder of what both Miss Riddle and I said the day of the first interview, I can accompany you to the courtyard if you'd like, there are some flowers there that might suit your taste, there are no bees though, we had an incident with them and the students so we got rid of them, I'm sure the Ministry would like to know that you enjoy it there, would you want me to accompany you?

She paled, clearly having forgotten what we both had said to her that day, what we both knew about her.

Rita: No need, Professor. I'll be going now.
