(Y/N) PovMy heart was beating fast with curiosity but also with uncertainty, the four of us stayed there for a few seconds just looking at the entrance.
Lockhart: Excellent, Harry. Ah, good work. We'll, then, I'll just be... There's no need for me to stay.
He tried to run but the boys grabbed him, and I put myself in front of him and looked right into his eyes and smirked, a thing that I found myself doing quite often ever since I met Draco last year.
(Y/N): Not so fast, we don't know if it's safe down there so you're going to be the first to go down.
I didn't even let him have time to react to my words, I just gave him a push making him fall into the hole, Harry and Ron looked at me with their eyes wide open in surprise and shock.
(Y/N): What? Don't look at me like that, it's not like any of you were going to do it and I just saved us a lot of time, besides its not like any of us like him.
Ron: She does have a point, better him than us.
Harry: Yes, but we would never push him just like that, she did it cause she's a bad person, cause she's a snake.
I glared at him and took some steps in his direction, my glare making him shrink back, Ron was nervous too even though he knew I wasn't about to do anything to him.
(Y/N): Oh, honey, you may want to watch what you say. Don't forget I didn't kill you last time because your friend here almost begged me to and cause Hermione would be pissed at me if I did, and don't forget what I said about making you feel pain, pain that would make you wish I killed you. Say something like that again and I may just turn a blind to you being in danger with the basilisk and let him eat you whole.
He gulped, shaking in his place, I looked at one of the mirrors and saw that my eyes had a red glint in them making my glare feel much more intimidating than I had first intended, I haven't figured it out why my eyes get a little red when I get mad but it sure did come in handy when I was trying to threaten someone.
(Y/N): Look at you, shaking. Pathetic. You call me a snake and say I'm mean but honey you haven't seen nothing yet. Continue to piss me off and one day you'll find out that doing that unleashed your worst nightmare. Now if I were you, I would calm down, we're about to go into a life or death situation, wouldn't want you to mess everything up and get me killed.
I turned to the entrance, hearing Lockhart saying how filthy it was down there and I looked back at the two boys behind me and smirked, Harry seemed calm on the outside but he was still freaking out about what just happened, Ron was terrified but I couldn't blame him, he's sister was kidnapped by the basilisk and his best friend was wasting time by arguing with his sister.
Ron: It looks like got there safely, we should go too.
I nodded and was about to jump down the hole when Myrtle appeared and stopped me.
Myrtle: Don't die down there. You're a good person, no matter what Harry says.
I smiled at her, a genuine smile, not a smirk or even a fake one. I jumped down the hole, curious to see what was awaiting us when we get there. The two boys jumped right after me, but unlike me they were yelling from the top of their lungs, giving me a headache, like do they really have to yell.
When I got to where Lockhart was, the first thing I did was point my wand at him, slowly observing the tiny skeletons on the ground, Harry and Ron right behind me.
Ron: Ew.
Harry: Now, remember, any sign of movement, close your eyes straight away.
(Y/N): Yes, we know that already.
We started to walk through a tunnel, a eerie silence around us, making me uneasy. The feeling that the master of the Basilisk wouldn't hurt was still present, even though I still didn't understand why I felt like that in the first place, but it didn't help this situation one bit.
Ron: Go on.
We continued to the end of the tunnel, Harry wasn't saying anything to me and I wasn't saying anything to him, this situation was completely different than the one we went through last year, that moment we had before we entered the room to find out who was trying to steal the stone made me think that maybe just maybe he was changing but I was wrong, he got worse, our relation got worse and I'm not sure if we could ever change it, or if I could ever forgive him for all the things he said to me but right now I needed to focus on getting Ron's sister back.
Harry looked back at Ron and Lockhart to see if they were still following us.
Harry: This way.
When we left the tunnel we found ourselves in a huge room, a room where the Basilisk had shedded his skin, it was huge and I couldn't help but think about how beautiful this creature must be, even if it was petrifying students.
Ron: What's this?
Lockhart: It looks like a... Snake.
(Y/N): It's a snakeskin.
Ron: Bloody hell. Whatever shed this must be 60 feet long. Or more.
Lockhart fainted and I couldn't help but laugh a little at the man's figure.
Ron: Heart of a lion, this one.
I high fived Ron for that comment, almost forgetting about the huge snake I was about to encounter. Lockhart got up and stole Ron's wand but I was already expecting that so I already had my wand pointed at him.
Lockhart: The adventure ends here, boys.
(Y/N): I'm a girl, you bloody idiot.
Lockhart: Yes, yes, boys and girl. But don't fret. The world will know our story. How I was too late to save the girl, how you three tragically lost your minds at the sight of her mangled body.
(Y/N): You need to come up with a new story, I'm not even that close to her, and everyone that knows me would know that something was up. How about this... Obliviate!
