"Don't bother! I have the necklace."

I looked at the doorway.

Chapter 17

"Give her back her necklace Joshua." James said.

"Tell her to give me back my heart!" He said.

"I'm sorry that you though she was your mate, but that necklace is special."

"I know it is! Her mother gave it to me to give to her." He said and pulled out my necklace from his back pocket.

"I remember meeting her. What a lovely women she was. Hope looks a lot like her, well except for her brown eyes and red hair."

"You... you met my mother?" I asked completely shocked.

"Yes I did. Your a lot like her. Same personality, same nose, same cheek bones, same heart breaker." He said and looked at the necklace.

"What?" I was so confused.

"You broke my heart just like your mother did to me. Back before you were born." He still looked at my moms necklace.

"You... dated my mom?" I took a step towards him.

"Yes, I though she was my mate. That's why I'm so upset." He said.

"You... though I was your mate because I look like my mom?!" I was mad, "what if I didn't look like her?! What if I looked like my dad?! Would you tell me I'm your mate then?!"

James came behind me and held me back. Guesses can tell that I'm about to jump Joshua.

"I honestly though you were. Didn't you think I was yours?" He said still looking at my necklace.

"I did, but I don't and... and... Im GLAD." I said and ran out of James arms and to my window.

I looked out on the trees.

"I was... happy when you were my protective brother and took care of me. I never felt anything when you touched me. It felt like how it felt when I touch Steven or Daniel. Then I found out... you were my mate. I felt the warm sensation. I was happy. Now I find out that... you liked me because... I look like my mother. How am I suppose to feel now?"

He stayed quiet and I opened the window "Exactly. Now if you excuse me... I need to leave before I do something I regret. Good bye James... Joshua."

I jumped out and landed in a crouched.

"Hope! Please come back!" Joshua yelled from the second floor.

I looked backed at my pale yellow house. It wasn't always pale, it's pale from age and dirt.

I ran towards the trees till I saw my meadow.

It's a huge opening, with dandelions, lilies, blue bonnets, and rose bushes on the edge of the circle meadow. It has the greenest grass I've ever seen in Texas. I looked up at the sky and the weather was perfect. It was clouded, with was good cause it blocks the sun but its light still shines through. I looked at the trees and saw oak trees.

What month was it? Come to think of it what was today?

I pulled out my Phone and looked at the date and time

April 17, 2012 Tuesday, 12:30pm.

Damn it! I missed school! Oh well! I'll go tomorrow I guess. I still have to tell Raven, Nightmare, Mercedes, and Ashley who my mate REALLY is.

I put my phone away and sat down in my meadow.

It's the anniversary of when I found this meadow.
