BABYSITTING DAKOTA
CHAPTER - 13
Words.

"Ah... Pasensiya na kayo sa ulam namin, Sir. Ito kasi ang madaling lutu—"

Dakota stopped eating for a second and smiled at Asha's mother. "I appreciate this food, Ma'am. Thank you again for letting me in your house."

"Asha..." A deep voice behind her called her name.

"Bakit, Sir?" Mas pinili niyang sumagot.

He stood beside her, looking at the millions stars at the dark sky. She wasn't sure on what to feel, but one thing what she figured out is that Dakota wants to talk. Maybe he just can't express his feelings straight, but she knows him better than anyone else.

"I just wanted to talk to you about something." She was right.

Hindi niya na napigilan pa ang magtanong. "Ano ang ginagawa mo dito?"

He looked down on her. "I... I'm sorry."

Napangiti siya sa sinabi nito, but she wasn't happy. "Para saan naman?"

"For the words that i've said, the things that i've done." He sincerly felt sorry but he knows, Asha won't forgive him easily.

She didn't even looked at him. Like all the times that they were together, those moments was already been tainted. The trust that she put on him was gone and it frustrates him big time.

The day Asha told him that she just wanted to go home, he was shocked at what she said. He didn't mean to say those words, to treat her badly. He, himself didn't even know whats going on. He just felt betrayed and... jealous by just watching Asha with someone else. It angers him, and he doesn't even know why.

He can't sleep that night, thinking about how could Asha just leave him? What if he can't see her anymore? He doesn't want that to happen.

So, he packed his things. Ordered that driver to go where Asha's home is. Good thing is he kept the employment papers of Asha years ago. It was a big help.

"Okay na 'yon. Sabi nga nila, it was said and done." She smiled at him. She hugged herself as the cold wind blows. She continued sofly.

"I... let's just go back home, Asha. I don't trust anyone except you. You know how I value you as...as...as my employee." He sighed. He can't even say some good words to convince her. He looks stupid.

"How about my trust? How can you say something without even realizing you could hurt someone? Does feelings look like a toy to you? Sir?"

Yes, he trust him so much. For years that she was away with her family, she could say that he was the closest one to her. The years she stayed an employee, or a friend to him means a lot. Akala niya noong plano niyang mamasukan lahat ng mayayaman ay ingarata, but she was blessed to have Dakota and his brother to be her employer. They are good to her, that's why she couldn't understand why would Dakota think of her of something ridiculous.

Panic was evident on Dakota's face. "I'm sorry for treating you badly, I just couldn't handle being at home without you."

"Do you even hear yourself?"

"Aba!

Anong akala nito? Hindi siya papatol? Aba nagkakamali yata ito ng binabangga! Porke ba—

She wasn't able to complete her thoughts when Dakota reached for her hands and wrapped his other arm on her hips. Suddenly, their face are only inches apart.

Her breathing ragged and her heart pounded triple times like it was about to explode.

"No one could ever replace you." He caressed her cheeks sofly, stared at her eyes deeply and whispered in her ear.

She couldn't grasp what's going on mentally and emotionally. Her legs wobbled underneath her causing her to be close than ever to Dakota.

"D—Dakota..."

That sentimental moment was suddenly stopped.

They jumped and parted immediately when they heard Asha's mother shouting at the top her lungs and her brother for shockingly seeing them so close together.

"Ate!"

"Jusko, mga bata kayo!"
