"you're sure about this right?" casey asked him, as the morning grew.

"not really sure about you going, but i know i want to go." adam replied anxiously.

"okay.."casey said to herself.

as casey and adam got out of the car, they approached apartment complex entry doors.

casey heard adam sigh but simply ignored it.

then they both walked in, passing by the front desk people.

then they entered the elevator patiently.

they didn't say a word to eachother as they lifted up to the sixth floor.

it was quite awkward to say the least.

then finally, they stepped onto the floor that lawrence was on, and approached his door.

adam was scared to knock.

so casey noticed and knocked for them both.

then the door opened pretty slowly.

and it was just diana.

adam grinned slowly, but wanted to turn around and go home.

yet diana finally spoke.

"hey adam, hey girl." diana spoke softly.

"hey." casey responded happily.

"what are you doing here?" diana asked.

"is your dad home?" casey responded with.

"yeah, he's asleep."

"does he work today?"

"no, i don't think so." diana whispered.

"okay, can we come in?"

"uhh, sure.." diana shrugged, opening the door wider for them both.

both casey and adam stepped inside slowly, walking past diana's body.

"where's jasper?" adam finally said.

"she's also asleep." diana replied.

"oh."

then it was silence, very awkward silence.

"maybe we should've came at a later time." casey whispered to adam.

"yeah, maybe." adam rolled his eyes and said.

"you have pretty hair." diana said to casey.

"oh?" casey said shockingly.

"yeah, who did it?"

"i did it, actually." casey smiled to her.

"can i play with it?" diana asked her.

"uh-"

"say yes." adam nudged.

"yeah, sure." casey said.

"yay, great!" diana announced excitedly.

then they both scurried off to diana's room.

adam was then left alone in the bitterly quiet kitchen.

he stood there for a while, staring down at his feet.

he didn't know what to do next.

he just sat there.

it felt wrong but he couldn't help it,

he tiptoed down the hallway to reach lawrence and jaspers bedroom.
