larry's pov

"larry, are you alright?" jasper had walked in with a cup of coffee and asked.

i didn't respond.

i didn't know what to feel.

"larry?" jasper said again, but that time sitting next to me.

she laid her head on my shoulder after that.

but i had no idea what to say.

"are you okay?" she whispered in my ear, continuing to comfort me.

"i'm fine." i whispered back, trying to pull away from her.

i felt bad about it.

yet i wasn't willing to think about her at that moment.

"larry, did i do something?" she asked me.

i said nothing, yet she did nothing wrong.

"please talk to me." she begged.

but i couldn't speak to her, and i didn't know why.

i didn't know what else to say.

i didn't know how to respond.

i was in shock from what adam had did to me.

he'd kissed me, and i couldn't feel reactions to anyone else.

"fine! you can sleep on the couch tonight then." jasper yelled.

i was actually fine with sleeping on the couch.

it was honestly more comfortable.

then i heard a knock on the door.

i felt like i knew who it was.

i got up and walked over to the door, i was quite cautious to open the door quite honestly.

but when i did i saw casey, adam's friend.

and i could tell that adam was hiding behind her.

"what're you doing here?" i asked her.

"uhh, whats up?" she said.

"is that adam?" i asked her, yet i already knew.

"um." she said, then she stepped aside, revealing adam.

adam stared at me awkwardly.

i felt a little uncomfortable but said nothing.

"can we come in?" casey asked me.

"for what?"

"i don't-- just to hang out?"

"uhh.."

i didn't really want them to come in.

but i didn't want to be rude.

"sure." i said.

casey walked in first, and then adam, he walked by very slowly,

and when he did,

he was staring at me sort of intensely.

and when he was, i couldn't take my eyes off of his.

and i couldn't figure out why.

finally, when they were inside, we all stood in the kitchen.

none of us said anything to each other.

we just stood there.

the only noise was the sound of us all breathing.

i didn't know why but the tension in the room gave me chills.

and i didn't know what to do.

adam looked like he was about to piss himself.

casey looked like she needed to vomit, or maybe she just looked like she wanted to say something like always.

"lawrence can i talk to you for a second? alone?" casey had asked me, finally breaking the silence.

i looked up at her, then i looked at adam, then looked back at casey.

i nodded and brung her to my office.

once we were in there.

her face was pale.

but she looked like she had a lot to say.

"adam told me." she blurted.

i nodded.

"and, even if it made you uncomfortable or whatever, the way you reacted was unnecessary. you know he didn't mean to do it to make you feel awkward or uncomfortable." casey confronted.

"i know." i said.

"but you still chose to walk away, why? is that what your best at?"

"look, i didn't know what to do!" i raised my voice at her.

"well what you did should've been one of the last things to do." casey got in my face and said,

"do you know how fucking hurt he is because of that? he's embarrassed! ashamed! and you made him feel like that!" casey said again.

"i know!" i yelled.

"no you just-- nothing! i don't want what happened to ruin what you guys have. and-- it may not seem like it, but i know that you guys mean something to eachother."

"well how am i supposed to know what to say to him?"

"you don't have to bring that up. you can just move past it and continue to be friends." casey told me.

"what if i cant?" i asked.

"then you're a selfish cunt." she responded.

i sighed,

still not knowing what to do.

i felt like i'd just got punched in the face by myself.

but she was right.
