"Everything okay?" Akaashi asked as we started to walk.
You picked up your tank and wore it as a back pack as you has attached straps to it a few days ago.

"Oh yeah... I just wanted to talk to you." You started to fidget with your fingers.
"Oh and I'm sorry that Ena called your pretty... She kinda doesn't have a filter."

"What kid does." He joked.

You raised your eyebrows as if saying 'true'

"What did you wanna talk to me about?"

You took in a deep breath as your chest felt kinda tight.

"Well.."

You proceeded to tell him hesitantly everything he told you when he was drunk.
Not missing a single detail.

When you were finished.
His eyes were wide and his face completely red.

"I-I said all that?"

You nodded, also feeling your cheeks start to burn.

"What did you say after I asked that?"

"What?"

"After I asked if I can fall in love with you?"

You panicked.
Was this really the time you were gonna confess as well? Was it really the right moment.
Bokuto and Yakeru popped into your head. Replaying their words.
You froze in your spot, your head swirling with thoughts.

"Y/n?"

You looked down at the ground, butterflies in your stomach.

"I get it..." He said as he also looked down at his hands. "I kinda put that all onto you when you weren't expecting it and I'm sorry to put that kind of pressure--"

"I said yes."

His eyes widened. "What?"

"I said yes Akaashi...Be-b-because... I like you too...I have for a while now..."

You didn't look up to him.
Instead you both stood there in silence for a moment.

"Finally." He said as he pulled your chin up so your e/c eyes met his green/blue eyes.

He smiled to you.
"Can I kiss you?"

You nodded a little but was stopped by him leaning into you and placing a kiss onto your lips.

This kiss was better than the first time he kissed you.
It was gentle and yet full of passion.

You titled your head deepening the kiss as he pulled you closer.

All this time you were pushing this away out of fear.
All this time he was the one you wanted to be with.
All this time he wanted to love you.
All this time you wanted to love him too.

He pulled away with a flushed face.
"I'm sorry I didn't ask before, I wish I could take our first kiss away so I could make it right."

You shook your head at him. "This made up for it.."

He still held you close. Looking into your eyes and seeming like he was getting lost in them.
"Thank you." He finally said.

You furrowed your eyebrows.

"For giving us a chance.. I promise to treat you like a queen." He winked as he joked about what he said while he was wasted.

"So.. Are.. We?"

"Y/n? Will you be mine?" He smiled.

You smiled as you nodded. "I'm sorry for keeping you waiting Akaashi."

"Call me Keiji, and it's okay, you weren't ready, and I'm sorry for seeming if I was pushing you when I was drunk.. I never meant for it to seem like that.."

"Bokuto and Yakeru have given me lectures...you didn't force anything K-Keiji.."

He raised an eyebrow. "Bokuto and Yakeru? Y/n? How long have you liked me?"

"Since the day I met you..." You looked down shyly.
But he grabbed your hand and laced his fingers in yours.

"We should head back yeah? I don't think leaving Bokuto in charge of the twins was a bright idea..." Akaashi smiled.

You nodded your head and you lead the way towards the park where the rest were hand in hand.

When arriving back to the others, you got a glare from Yakeru and a bright smile from Bokuto.

Your hands were still laced with Akaashi's and your face grew bright red. You knew you'd have some explaining to do when you all headed home.

Akaashi let go of your hand and walked towards the group, grabbing the volleyball from Bokuto.

Yakeru walked towards you.

"So?" He said with a small smile.

You smiled. "Were dating now..."

Yakeru pulled you into a hug. "About time you found someone." He said.

You laughed in his shoulder as you hugged him.

He pulled away and held your shoulders. "I'm proud of you y/n... But now.. You need to tell mom."

Your eyes widened. "Right..."

Yakeru laughed. "I think she'll approve and be happy for you, she knows what you've been through and I'm sure she'd be happy to know that you're happy."

You smiled to your brother.
You were thankful that you had him in your life.

"We should probably head home, the suns starting to set."

Yakeru nodded in agreement.

You walked over to Akaashi, Bo and the twins.

Pulling Ena into your arms.
"Time to head home guys."

"Awe but I was having fun big sis.." Kane pouted.

You smiled to your little brother and Yakeru pulled him onto his back.

Akaashi came beside you and smiled.

His smile caused yiu to have butterflies in your stomach.
Oh how you'll cherish this day forever.

On this day, you and Akaashi Keiji, were finally dating.
On this day, you finally let someone in to love you.
On this day, you finally accepted the words of others and decided to live your life, instead of dwelling on death.
