3rd Person POV

Sadie sits on a table that was decorated for Commonwealth Day

She watches around the scene as everyone works

Landon tries to lift the table

"Sades, I can't lift with you on the table." Landon tells her

Sadie gives him a look

"You can't lift the table, period." Sadie says, crossing her legs under her to show she wasn't going to move. "Whether I'm on it or not doesn't matter."

"Can you help?" Landon asks her

"I don't want to be here." Sadie tells him. "I wanna be watching tv in my bed with my snacks. So, good luck moving the table."

Sadie lays down on the table

"Come on, Raf, let's move the table." Landon says

Raf doesn't answer, nor make any attempt to lift the table

Sadie looks over at Raf and sees him staring off into space

"Earth to Rafael." Landon calls. "Phoenixes don't have super strength."

"My-my bad." Raf says. "I'm-I'm distracted."

Landon puts the table down

"Are Lizzie and Hope friends now?" Landon asks

"It is a problem." Raf says. "Look, I'll be lucky if Lizzie doesn't talk trash about me, dude."

"Deserved trash." Landon says. Sadie sits up. "Earned trash. Sweaty, gym-sex trash." Raf gives him a look. "Sorry."

"I thought it was funny." Sadie shrugs

"You know what you need?" Landon says. "A wingman."

"Oh, by-by which I pray you do not mean--" Raf starts

"Me." Landon says. "I can help run interference. You get in there, make a move. Come on. Josie and I can use a couple for double dates. You can thank me when it works. You will."

"Lift the table, man." Raf tells him

Landon and Raf lift the table with Sadie on it and move the table

The group sits in the gym

"Okay, squad." Lizzie says, standing next to Hope. "We have a problem, and we're down a witch because Josie's in Richmond for Commonwealth Day. Which is bad for us, because..."

"A Croatoan came through the portal." Hope says. "And it killed a councilman."

"What the hell's a Croatoan?" Kaleb asks

"Hold up. The lost colony of Roanoke." Kym says. The group shares looks of confusion. "Seriously? Not one of you?"

"I'll play." Landon says. "Roanoke. It's one of the first English settlements in North America until it just vanished without a trace."

"And the only thing left behind was a word carved on a tree: Croatoan." Kym says. She earns looks from the others. "What? I'm a history nerd. Why else would I be here for Commonwealth Day?"

"Uh I-Ignore her." Kaleb says. "Her visitation privileges are about to be revoked."

"The monster is here, and it's after Landon, so we need to get him somewhere safe." Hope says

"Okay, um, no offense, but why is some girl from Mystic Falls giving us orders?" Kaleb asks

"Oh, it's because she's a wolf." Raf says at the same time Lizzie says. "Because she's a witch."
