3rd Person POV
"Reporting for portal duty!" Lizzie exclaims as her and Josie walk over to Hope who is sitting on a bench with the crystal in her hand. "I brought backup. Nightshade couldn't be here for...obvious reasons."
SADIE: The "obvious reasons" I'm sure you can guess was that I am still in my cell because no one trusts me to control myself outside of it. And to be honest... I don't trust myself either
Lizzie sits next to Hope and Josie sits on the other side of Lizzie
"So, this is nice, right?" Lizzie says, breaking the awkward silence. "Together again."
"It's great." Hope mumbles
"It's awesome." Josie mumbles
"I mean, for the two of you not to be talking to each other just because you're competing for the love of the same garden gnome I think we're more evolved than that as women." Lizzie says
"Absolutely." Hope says
"Without a doubt." Josie says
"Good." Lizzie says. "Because, personally, I've never been better. My work paid off. My mind is sharp. All perceived mental breakdowns were a figment of my imagination fed by two manipulative vampires who will remain forever my enemies."
"What's going on with Sebastian?" Hope asks
"Headmaster Downton Abbey wants us to enroll him to keep him off the streets." Lizzie says. "But after deliberately letting me think that I was unwell, I will not let that happen."
"You should forgive MG." Josie says
"Never." Lizzie says
"He didn't want to hurt you." Josie tells Lizzie
"He hid things from me." Lizzie says. "Zero stars."
"He's not the only friend keeping secrets." Josie whispers
"I didn't want to hurt you either." Hope speaks up
"Yeah, well, zero stars." Josie says. She looks at the crystal in Hope's hands. "Is that what I think it is?"
"Yeah." Hope says. She hands it to Josie. "Here. I don't need it anymore."
"Thanks." Josie says, accepting the crystal
"Look at us." Lizzie says. "Clear hearts and minds. Letting the power of our intellect rule the day over our emotions. Moving forward with dignity and grace. This is the true definition of girl power. I'm proud of us."
"Greetings, witches." A man in a weird outfit says
"Who the hell are you?" Lizzie asks
"An answer for an answer." The man says. "There are two sisters. One gives birth to the other. And the other, in turn, gives birth to the first. Who are they?"
"Night and day." Josie says. "The sisters are Night and Day."
"Your reward for answering correctly is to know that you are in the presence of the master of the ancient lands." The man says. "The all-holy, ever-divine sphinx." The three look at him, bored. "People are usually more impressed."
"It's been a long semester." Hope sighs. "Prohibere." She chants but someone starts passing by the group
"Invisique." The three girls chant and they disappear
"See? Girl power." Lizzie says
