Facing Darkness Is Kinda My Thing

3rd Person POV

Previously.....

"Welcome back to the land of the living." Raf says as him and Sadie help Landon off the ground after he came back to life. "So, you gonna tell us what that was all about?"

"Um, Hope needed a plan B." Landon says. "We'll find one for you, too. I promise."

"I just couldn't bring myself to leave." Raf says

"I knew you wouldn't." Landon says

"No, you don't, Lan." Raf says. "I mean that I couldn't leave. The Necromancer wouldn't let me."

"Listen to me. We won't let him win." Sadie tells Raf

"We'll deal with him." Landon says. "Okay?"

"Do I have a choice?" Raf asks

"No." Sadie and Landon say

"All in. Always." Landon says

The three hug

"It's like you said... no choice." Raf says

In a swift move, Raf pushes Sadie away and she stumbles, falling to the ground. Raf's eyes turn white and he stabs Landon with the golden arrow and Landon falls to the ground dead

Landon lays dead on the dock, the golden arrow piercing through his body, with Raf standing above him

Raf's eyes were still white

Sadie is frozen still and silent with shock, looking between her friend dead on the ground and her...well basically her murderous boyfriend

Whatever trance Raf had been in, he snaps out of it and looks around

"Lan!" Raf exclaims, bending down next to Landon's body. "Oh my god." He says through tears, shaking Landon's shoulder. "Lan, get up! Please..." He whispers as his voice breaks and he bends his head down, burying his face in Landon's chest

Sadie shakily stands up and makes her way over to Raf, falling to her knees next to him and pulling his head away from Landon's dead body

"It's okay." Sadie whispers calmly and reassuring into Raf's ear as she holds his head to her chest. However inside...she was anything but calm. "It's okay. It's okay." She repeats over and over while Raf cries

"I killed him." Raf's muffled voice says

Sadie pulls Raf's face away from her chest and holds his face in front of hers and they stare at each other

"It's okay." Sadie repeats one more time, although to whom she didn't know. "We're gonna take Landon to the school...and...and we're gonna find Dr Saltzman, okay?"

Raf nods

"Good...good." Sadie breathes, standing up. "Let's go."

"Dr. Saltzman!" Raf exclaims as him and Sadie stop Dr Saltzman in the hallway. "We need your help."

Dr Saltzman stares at the two, both with tears in their eyes and he realizes the severity of whatever was going on 

"Okay." Dr Saltzman whispers

The three leave

Sadie and Raf rush through the school and to the room where they hid Landon's body

"Raf, Sadie,just calm down, okay?" Dr Saltzman says as he follows the two at a quick pace. "Whatever it is, it can't be that bad."

They get to Landon's body
