3rd Person POV

Dr Saltzman and Sadie walk down the hall

They turn the corner and see Hope there

"You're late for class." Dr Saltzman says. "Or are you lost?"

"Uh, both." Hope says. "Apparently, everything changed when I was gone." She says, looking at her schedule. "Where's spell lab?"

"No idea." Dr Saltzman says. "I'm a little out of the loop myself." The group starts walking. "I just like to stride confidently and, uh, nod in hopes that people don't figure that out. But speaking of being out of the loop, Lizzie and Josie are avoiding me. Why? What's up?"

"I wouldn't know." Hope says. "Things are still awkward between me and Josie. I mean, I thought they were okay. It's just bad again."

"Yeah, well, knowing you and Landon are together and seeing it are two very different things." Dr Saltzman says

"I just wish there was something I could do." Hope says, stopping

"You just have to give her some time, you know?" Dr Saltzman says. "Things will go back to normal soon enough. I hope."

"Yeah." Hope sighs

"Spell lab." Dr Saltzman reads off the door

"Cool." Hope says. She turns to go in but stops. She looks at Sadie. "Are you coming?"

Sadie looks at Dr Saltzman

"Um, I'm.... redoing Sadie's schedule." Dr Saltzman says

"So we're not gonna be in the same classes?" Hope asks

Sadie looks at Dr Saltzman again for the answer

"Not for today." Dr Saltzman says

"Okay." Hope says. "Bye." She tells Sadie and Sadie nods her goodbye

Hope goes into the room

Mr Williams walks in

"Ric." Mr Williams says, walking over

"Mm." Dr Saltzman answers

"So, I touched base with Caroline." Mr Williams says. "She wants us to track down the real Vardemus and make sure he's okay."

"I'm more concerned about the fake Vardemus enrolling a 500-year-old vampire in my absence." Dr Saltzman says

"Technically, Sebastian was in a coffin for 483 of them, but yeah." Mr Williams says

"Yeah, but we have our recruitment bylaws." Dr Saltzman says

"Which Vardemus revised." Mr Williams says

"Not to mention a lengthy admission process." Dr Saltzman says

"Which he waived." Mr Williams says

"Do you know that he got rid of the espresso machine?" Dr Saltzman says

"He was more of a tea person." Mr Williams says

"Look, I need to know more about this Sebastian." Dr Saltzman says. "We can't blindly let him in here without knowing more about his history."

"You're right." Mr Williams says. "I'll have my intern do a deep dive into the historical records to see if there's any trace of him."

"You have an intern?" Dr Saltzman asks

Mr Williams leave

Lizzie runs down the stairs

Sadie and Dr Saltzman watch as she adjusts her clothes as she runs down

"Dad. Hi." Lizzie says
