"That's gross." Sadie says after Hope tells her about Alyssa and Jed making out on her bed

"Very." Hope says as the girls walk down the hall, Hope with a textbook in hand. "Did you talk to Dorian?"

"Yea, I did." Sadie says. "It was good. Dr Saltzman says he's still looking into more counselors."

"That's good." Hope says. She stops in the hallway and Sadie stops as well. "Are you coming to classes today?"

"Um, I don't think so." Sadie says

"What are you gonna do?" Hope asks and Sadie looks at her. "Tell me you're not gonna lay in bed all day again."

"No, I'm not." Sadie says. "I'm gonna go for a run. Running helps clear my head." She says with a shrug

"Well, I'm glad you figured that out." Hope says. "With not being able to wolf out, at least you can still run."

"Yeah." Sadie says

"Well, I'll see you later?" Hope says. "Landon and I are gonna be sparring, could be something fun to watch."

"Maybe." Sadie says with a smile

"Alright, bye." Hope says, walking into her classroom

SADIE: I did end up going to watch Landon and Hope practice sparring. It was just after my run so I was still in my sports bra and leggings with my hair in a messy ponytail as I sit on my shirt on the ground in the warm sun, watching the two spar

"Okay, that was a little hard." Landon says, deflecting Hope's hits

Hope hits Landon to the ground and he lands on his back

Sadie lets out a small laugh

"Okay, um, to be clear, when I asked for training, I sort of meant for beginners." Landon groans from the ground

Hope helps Landon up

"Sorry. It's just, Alyssa Chang has me all worked up." Hope says. "That girl has no boundaries. She takes all of my stuff and every day she has a new scented candle. One of which smelled like bacon. I think she's trying to gaslight me."

"Yeah, bullies will do that." Landon says. "Trust me, I pretty much have a PhD on the subject."

"She makes me long for the days when I could toss a monster into the Malivore pit." Hope says

"Well, I know this might not sound like the most action-packed advice, but, um maybe just try talking to her." Landon says. "Bullies hate being confronted."

"I guess I could try that, Dr. Kirby." Hope says with a smile

"Great. Uh, how about some more sparring first?" Landon suggests. "Maybe some judo or kenpo? Aikido?"

"You could barely handle what you guys just did." Sadie points out from her spot

"Thank you, Sadie." Landon says sarcastically

"Why don't we start with a basic jab?" Hope suggests. "Have you walking instead of running head first into danger."

Sadie lays back on her shirt as the two start practicing again
