You stood still on the last step of the stairs, watching Jungkook handling different papers and envelopes that contains his requirements for college — he's graduating highschool in a few months and he was told to apply in a few universities by his teachers, considering the fact that he's a really diligent and a hardworking student, he would surely pass without any doubt. A laptop situated among the stack of papers, the screen displaying the website of Korea University, bold characters in red saying that his application is still processing, he has no idea whether he got in or not.

KU has always been his dream university, with the overall beauty of the campus and high educational standards plus the good reviews that he heard from his friends who studied and is still studying in the said university.

As time pass by, Jungkook is slowly losing hope that he'll be accepted in his dream university so he decided that he'll stick with his second choice — Pusan National University, PNU is also a very nice university with nice course offers, he once visited the campus for the tour, he liked it but he felt really attached to KU, as if he really belong there and he's destined to attend college there. PNU is really near as it's located in Busan as well, meaning he won't have to rent a dorm as he can easily drive from his university and back home daily, it won't be much of a hassle compared to SNU which is farther considering the fact that it's located in Seoul, meaning, he has to rent a dorm as it will take a four-hour drive just to get back to Busan.

But here's the thing — Jungkook told you that you'll manage all his application mails and you'll tell him whether he got accepted into any of the pending applications so that he can finalize where he'll really study, he thinks handling everything in advance can help so that when senior finals come, he won't have to cram and do everything at once. A really good habit of Jungkook's is that he do his best to avoid procrastinating, that's why you admired him because you had this bad skill of procrastinating.

The other day, you checked KU's website to have an update of what Jungkook's application status is. The second you pressed the refresh button, big bold letters saying ACCEPTED is displayed on the screen with a congratulations on the side — your eyes widened as you tried to refresh it again to make sure it's not a sick joke or prank or whatever it is. But it really is the reality, Jungkook got accepted into his dream university and you're supposed to be happy for him but instead, you felt really sad deep down.

You want Jungkook to have the best university life with his friends that he can hang out with and do study groups with, and that would happen if he study in KU — but at the same time, Jungkook being in KU means that he will be away from Busan most of the time, you aren't used in staying somewhere without him, the longest you've been away from him is when he went to a two-day school trip back when he was a sophomore. That was only two days and you couldn't even sleep the night without him, you got too attached with him that you don't know what you will do without your brother, being in KU means that he'll have to rent a dorm and will only be home during the holidays.

and so, you kept the fact that Jungkook got into KU, you know he'll be mad or disappointed that you didn't tell him but you have your own reason.

Jungkook just got home from school as he smiled when he saw you sitting down on the floor, reading through his college requirements that contained some personal and confidential files like his birth certificate and those kind of stuffs. He walked towards you and pressed a kiss on the crown of your head that made you look up at him with a smile — you and Jungkook attend different schools as he's nine years older than you, he's in his senior year of high school and you're in your first year of middle school, sixth grade. You're sad that you won't be able to experience attending the same school as Jungkook, and you're not in highschool yet and he's already going to college, moving out and everything.
