Shannon's POV

After looking at the printed photos that I took during my first mission, I rubbed my eyes as I tried to wake myself up. We've been looking for clues from the pictures of the elites from the last party they conducted months ago, the party where I was almost caught by the authorities. Conrad is very positive that we will get something out of these pictures that might help us on our next mission- which is the Charity ball.

Last week, after reconciling with Blaze and receiving the news for the mission, we immediately met together with Conrad for the plan.

Conrad sent us the invitation of the charity ball for next week, and according to our insider's information, this event is just a cover up event for the leaders of different countries to meet, plan, or trade whatever or whoever. This might give us a huge clue or even evidence against the president's evil deeds. That is why I am trying to look at every angle of the pictures that I took, however no matter how many times I stare at the pictures, I get nothing.

I sigh before standing up to get my brewed coffee without breaking my eye contact on the photograph that I am holding. The rest of the squad are here, because as Wyn said, we are more efficient and hardworking when we are together. I don't really agree, but I missed hanging out with them, so it's not also a bad idea.

"How about the time stamp? Or any familiar person who's suspiciously talking to someone?" Van softly said before peeking on the photos that I am seriously looking at.

"I already checked, but there's none. Is Conrad really sure about it? I mean, if he knows already, then why not just tell us?" It's been an hour since I've been looking at these photos but aside from the current clues we already got, I can't find a new one.

Van shrugged before shaking his head. After he got his coffee mug, he returned to his seat. The boys are doing their 'tech' things, so I am left with the photos right now.

I sat on the bar stool from the countertop instead of sitting on the living area. I scattered all the photos on the counter while carefully thinking of what other angle I haven't thought of right now.

"Aren't you sleepy yet? You can continue this tomorrow," Blaze whispered.

I didn't even notice that he walked towards me because my full attention was on theorising things. I am very eager to help out on this mission and successfully do my part to redeem my failed first mission.

I just gave him a short glance before giving him a small smile. "I'm fine. You guys are working hard too. How can I sleep knowing you are still awake here? And I want to accomplish my mission this time so..." I answered.

He nodded so I directed my eyes again on the photos.

Seconds after, I felt Blaze's hands combing my hair and trying to tie it in a bun. I try to face him and ask what he is doing, but he stops me from moving.

"Your hair is poking your eyes, so just let me. Don't mind me, just do your thing," he said softly.

I let him caress my hair, enjoying the sense of comfort by his gentle touch. I smiled secretly because of his small and sweet gesture. I must admit, we became closer and he became more sweet after we reconciled. I think the others were right, when someone solves their conflict with someone, their relationship will become stronger. I think that's what happened to us.

I actually thought that since Blaze fixed his family issue, he will now come back to their family home thus we will be less close given the long break we've had because of our conflict. But he reasoned that we only have one month to go before graduation, so he'll stay in our unit until the end of semester, giving us more time for interaction. I think the only significant changes that happened after he resolved his problem with his family is we are now always on their hub, this is where we do our meeting or just casually hang out together.
