Chapter Twenty Six

"Corrine, invite mo si Celeste mamayang gabi" Jared told Corrine habang busy sa paglalaro sa kanyang phone.

"Bakit?" kunot noong tanong ni Corrine and she secretly looked at Athena.

"Itatry sana namin nina Viper yung Quest about sa Dark Summoner. Balita ko na cleared na nila nina Emp yun. Magiging madali na samin matapos ang quest dahil nagawa na nya" tugon ni Jared.

Athena widened her eyes. If it's about those zombies, well, she doesn't want to do that quest again.

Pasimpleng tumingin si Athena kay Corrine at umiling.

"Sige tingnan ko mamaya pero I doubt na sasama sya. Nasabi nya sakin one time na hindi siya nag uulit ng quest kasi wala ng thrill" Pagdadahilan ni Corrine.

Athena smiled at her and mouthed 'thanks'. Wala naman sa kanya na mag ulit ng quest. But not that one. She could still see the zombies even in her dreams.

"Yun! Salamat Corrine!" Bumaling ito sa akin. "Alam mo ba bestfriend...." at nag dire diretso na ang kwento ni Jared about the Cerberus quest, in which Athena is also included.

Corrine and Athena just shook their heads at napangiti sa pagiging talkative ni Jared.

Athena decided to stay in the library habang hinihintay na matapos ang basketball practice ni Jared. They decided to go home together, as usual. She sat in the corner part of the library and opened her laptop. She better start her take home activities than to waste her time.

Athena was busy typing in her laptop when someone sat in front of her. Napatingin siya sa lalaki at bahagyang nagulat nang makilala kung sino iyon.

'Zaiden Ace'

Ace just looked at her and raised his eyebrows as if asking her 'why are you looking at me?' Idinukdok nito ang ulo sa lamesa at pumikit.

'Teka? Matutulog lang ba siya sa library?'

Napatingin si Athena sa paligid at tila nakaramdam siya ng hiya dahil halos lahat ng estudyanteng babae ay nakatingin sa kanilang diteksyon. May ilan na pasimpleng kumukuha ng litrato kaya mabilis na kinuha ni Athena ang libro sa tabi para takpan ang kanyang mukha.

'Bakit kasi dito pa naisipang pumwesto ng bakulaw na to?' She thought at napasimangot.

Athena glanced at the man in front of her and sighed. She decided to leave para makaiwas sa issue. This man here is too popular and there's no guarantee na hindi siya mapag usapan. She doesn't want to be the talk of the town.

Mabilis na pinatay ni Athena ang kanyang laptop at inayos ang gamit pagkatapos ay tumayo na at humakbang.

Nang mapatapat siya sa pwesto ni Ace ay nagulat si Athena nang hawakan nito ang palapulsuhan ang kanyang palapulsuhan dahilan para mapatigil siya sa paglalakad.

"Where are you going?" Ace said, looking at Athena.

Athena frowned at his question. Where is she going?

'Of course, far from a popular guy like you'

But she didn't say that out loud. Instead, she cleared her throat and said, "Aalis na"

"Stay" he ordered and Athena gaped at him.

Stay? Can she stay in this place with him? Well, they got along a few days ago outside the school premises, but it's a different thing if they're inside the campus.

The hands holding Athena tightened, not letting her go.

Athena looked around and saw many eyes staring at them, especially in their hands.
