The Unexpected Romance

Chapter Twenty

Athena was walking in the garden behind the school grounds. Nakita niya ito kanina nang mapadpad siya sa likod ng school. She didn't even know that there was a beautiful garden hidden in their school.

Naupo siya sa damuhan at sumandal sa puno ng acacia saka nagsimulang magbuklat ng libro. Dapat ay sa library siya tatambay kaya lang ng pumunta siya doon ay wala ng bakanteng upuan. Mabuti na lamang at nadiskubre niya ang lugar na ito.

Her class already ended but Jared insisted that he will take her home kaya hinihintay niyang matapos ito sa pagtake ng exam.

Biglang humangin ng malakas at tinangay ang ilang hibla ng kanyang buhok na kumawala mula sa pagkakapusod. Itinaas niya ang kanang kamay at inipit ang hibla ng buhok sa likod ng kanyang tenga.

'The air is refreshing. Nakakarelax'

"What are you doing here?" Athena was startled when she heard a voice.

Lumingon siya sa pinanggalingan ng boses. Sa taas ng puno na sinasandalan ni Athena ay naroon si Zaiden Ace. Nakalaylay ang isang paa nito habang ang isang paa ay nakatungtong sa sanga ng puno. Ang kamay nito ay nakapatong sa tuhod at nakasandal ang likod nito sa katawan ng acacia.

No wonder, a lot of girls admire him. He really has the looks.

Athena cleared her throat. She didn't notice that there was someone else here.

"I am reading" tipid na tugon ni Athena at ibinalik ang tingin sa binabasa.

"This is my place" malamig na wika ni Ace.

"I can't see your name anywhere in here" Athena didn't even bother to look at him as if he's not worthy of her attention subalit ang totoo ay nadidistract siya sa presensya nito.

Ace frowned.

'Is she more interested in that book than me?' he thought to himself. He suddenly wants to snatch the book from her to catch her attention.

"I own this school. So this place is mine" Ace said arrogantly.

Athena flipped the page of her book.

"Yes, you are the school owner. But we are paying our tuition fees here. Basically, our money is running your school. So we have the same rights in this place" Athena said.

Ace opened his eyes when he felt that someone walked towards the tree where he was resting. Alas tres pa natapos ang kanyang klase but he wanted to stay here for a while bago umuwi.

This is his private garden and he was surprised that someone dared to enter his property.

He was about to scare the intruder when he saw the face of that beautiful girl who's been in his mind lately. Athena.

He watched her as she settled down, the strands of her loose hair were getting blown by the wind. Ace felt his heart skip a beat. It was a very unfamiliar feeling.

Ace jumped down the tree and landed in front of Athena. Nakaluhod ang kaliwang paa nito sa lupa habang nakasuporta ang kaliwang kamay sa lupa. Then he looked up at the girl in front of him.

Nanlaki ang mata ni Athena nang bigla na lamang bumungad sa kanya ang mukha ni Ace.

No doubt, this guy is one of the most handsome guys she'd ever seen. His well defined jaw, his pointed nose, red lips and cold eyes are his best assets.

Ace leaned forward enough for Athena to see his face closely.

'Nakakainggit, wala yatang pores ang lalaking to' Athena thought, not realizing their position.
