MICHELLE'S POV

After a long stroll around the lake, Oliver and I walked back to the Great Hall. He helped me to one side of the table, then ran around and sat straight across from me. Our walk was really nice, actually. We just talked about whatever was on our minds, smiling and laughing at each other the whole time. After sitting at the Gryffindor table and talking for a while, food began to appear. Merlin, I'm so hungry! I didn't realize how hungry I was until now. Oliver must of seen the look on my face because he busted out laughing.

Lord, I love this boy. His laugh was so perfect, I couldn't help but smile when I heard it. There wasn't a sound like it in the world! I smiled up at him and said "I love your laugh, Oliver. It always makes me smile." I instantly covered my mouth when I let that slip. That was so embarrassing. He just smiled and said "Don't be embarrassed, Chelle! It just so happens I enjoy making you smile." I blushed and just smiled wider.

At that exact moment, Professor Dumbledore walked up to the podium. The hall fell silent, waiting for him to speak. I felt someone poke my shoulder, and I looked up to find Katie and Angelina sitting next to me. They looked at Oliver and back at me, then raised their eyebrows. Katie mouthed, 'How was it?' And I smiled and mouthed back 'I'll share later!' After that, I took a quick glance in Oliver's direction, smiled at him, then turned my attention to Dumbledore. "Good evening, students. I have interrupted your meal just to give you some announcements. First of all, the first Quidditch game, Hufflepuff against Gryffindor, is to be held tomorrow at 10:00." Loads of cheers chorused through the great hall. " Finally, we are going to have a welcome back ball that will take place next Saturday. Make sure to ask a date, there will be lots of dancing. That is all, students. Enjoy the rest of your meal!" Dumbledore exclaimed.

A ball? This is wonderful! Maybe Oliver will ask me. I would love to dance with him, even if he doesn't ask me. I wonder what he's thinking. I look over at him to find he's looking at me. He smiles and says "A ball? This should be fun." I start to giggle and he winks, making me stop in my tracks.

OLIVERS POV

A ball? Merlin, this is perfect! I can ask Michelle! Then, I can make a plan to ask her out that night! I look at Michelle and say "A ball? This should be fun." She giggles, which makes my heart stop. I wink at her and she freezes. Then, she grins from ear to ear. I ask her " Can I walk you to the common room?" She blushes and nods, smiling at me. I offer her my arm, which she takes. I lead her outside the Great Hall and we start walking towards the common room. Bloody hell, this girl is perfect.
