OLIVER'S POV

I find that every kiss we share gets better and better. Don't get me wrong, I have loved them all, but this is my favorite. The first time Michelle Smith has kissed me as officially mine. My girl.

I pulled back and immediately remembered where we were, to find everyone on the dance floor looking at us, applauding. The song was over, so I led Chelle over to the table with our names hovered on floating name cards above the chairs. Of course, we were accompanied by none other than our best friends. They were giving us loads of congratulations, but the only thing I wanted to focus on was the pretty thing on my arm.

The rest of the night went by in a blur, but I loved every minute of it. Everywhere we went, I couldn't help but notice people admiring her, she really did look stunning in scarlet. Of course, I always thought she looked stunning. I did notice, however, that all of the attention was making her uncomfortable. I could always tell when she was anxious, ever since we were eleven. She is the type of girl that doesn't really like attention, it makes her uneasy and shaky. So without even hesitating, I started leading her towards the next surprise I had waiting for her. I quickly scanned the crowd for the twins, and noticed they weren't too far from where we were. I led Chelle across the dancefloor to where our friends were sitting and asked " Is everything set up like I asked, boys?" They both nodded at me in unison, as their respected dates assured mine I would love it. I looked over at her to find she had a really confused look on her face as she said "Oliver, what are you talking about?" I just winked at her and said "Trust me, love. It's a surprise. " She took my hand and nodded and I started to lead her out of the Hall and toward the Astronomy tower.

MICHELLE'S POV

I was completely and utterly confused about what was going on, and why I was being led to the Astronomy tower, but I did trust Oliver. As we walked, we talked about everything from quidditch to family. I had always wondered what Oliver's family was like, of course I had heard a lot about them, as Oliver had heard a lot about mine. Speaking of family, I really needed to figure out my holiday plans. Last I had heard from mum and dad, they were going to visit Braden in Romania, because that is where the Scottish team was posted for holiday training. Weird, I know. Which meant, I was on my own for my favorite holiday of the year. Maybe, I could go to the burrow with the twins or something, as I'm sure Molly wouldn't mind me crashing the Weasley Christmas party.

I was snapped out of my trance just in time to take in the sight before me. Set up on the balcony of the astronomy tower was a pair of blankets and some pillows set out, with floating candles that I had seen only put out for Christmas. Next to our little lounge spot was a Scottish decorated Christmas tree, Flag and all. I could hear Oliver chuckling at me, as I'm sure he noticed the confusion and excitement on my face. "Do you like it, love?" he asked me. I nodded and stood on my tip toes to kiss his cheek. "This is wonderful, but what is with the Christmas decorations? It isn't even November yet!" I giggled and he just shrugged and told me that I would find out soon enough, as he pulled me down to sit with him on the blanket.

OLIVER'S POV

I really need to work on my nerves around this girl, because every time I get ready to ask her something important like this, I disappear into a puddle of nerves. As I pulled her down onto the blanket with me, I looked around at all the decorations I asked the twins to set up. They actually did a good job, considering the fact that this wasn't a prank.

I wanted to do this whole Christmas set up because I knew it was her favorite holiday.  I had already had the idea to ask her home for the holidays before Katie even mentioned to me that Chelle was on her own for the best holiday of they year. I always felt bad for her when her parents sprung this type of thing on her, but I understood their desire to see Braden. According to Chelle, he hadn't been home all holiday.

Nothing felt better than holding her in my arms at this very moment. She was resting with her head on my shoulder and my arm was around the small of her back.  I started to smell the peppermint scent of the candles , and by the look on Michelle's face so did she. It was one of her favorite scents of the holidays, and I made sure to include all of her favorites tonight.

As we were laying there together, I finally got up the courage to ask her. "Hey, baby?" She looked up at me and her eyes were sparkling like diamonds and a crimson blush spread across her cheeks. "I was wondering if you had anything planned for the Christmas holidays? Katie mentioned something about you not being able to go home and I just was wondering what you were thinking?"

She blinked and pondered deep in thought for a second. She replied with " Yeah, Mum and dad will be in Romania visiting Braden for holiday, so I wasn't really sure what to do. I thought about crashing the Weasley Christmas like i did in fifth year, but It will be weird without my family." I pondered that thought for a moment, trying to think of how to respond. "Well, I think that's a plausible solution, but might I suggest something?" She looked up at me confused, but nodded. "I was wondering if maybe you would like to accompany me to the Wood family Christmas this year? I know it is two months away but I talked to Mum and she was thrilled and would love to have you."

MICHELLE'S POV

Did I just hear him right?? THE Oliver Wood, inviting me to his family holiday in Scotland? I stared up at him, surprised as ever.  After I got over the initial shock of it all, without even hesitating I grabbed his face in my hands and kissed him passionately. "Of course, I would love to go with you! I have always wanted to go to Scotland! Not to mention, I would love to finally meet your mum." He smiled that famous crooked smile I had grown to adore, and kissed my forehead. It was settled, I would be spending Christmas in Scotland with my boyfriend, Oliver Wood.
