Dress Shopping

MICHELLES POV

After that great encounter with Oliver, we walked back to the common room. Once we got inside the portrait, he stopped abruptly and took both of my hands. He looked me straight in the eye and said "I can't wait to go to the ball, now that I'm going with the best girl I've ever met." I smiled at him and replied "I've been daydreaming about this for ages, Oliver. I can't believe it's real." He let go of my right hand and put his left hand on my cheek and said "Let me prove to you that you aren't dreaming." Then, he leaned in and kissed me.

Once we pulled apart, I sighed and asked "See you in the morning?" He smiled at me and stroked my face one last time and said "Absolutely, see you in the morning." He leaned in once more for a kiss. We kissed for what seemed like ages. Once we broke apart, we looked around to see 4 grinning faces. None other than our best friends, staring right at us. Katie and Angelina grabbed me by the arms and dragged me to our dorms, making me yell a quick goodnight to Oliver.

As soon as they shut the door, they began to squeal. By squeal, I mean wake up half the school! "YOU HAVE TO TELL US EVERYTHING!" Katie said. I immediately started from earlier this evening. Once I was Finished, they both smiled and said that they were both going with the twins. "That's amazing! I need your girls' help with finding a dress." I exclaimed excitedly. Katie and Angelina both squealed again. Angelina replied, "It's settled! Tomorrow during the Hogsmead trip we will go to the dress robes shop and get our dresses! I was going to ask you lot to hang out anyway, since it is Saturday tomorrow."I grinned and Katie said "Sounds amazing! Now, let's get our beauty sleep!" I chuckled and turned out the lights. Tomorrow would be great, but not as great as today!

THE NEXT DAY:

We walked into the dress shop, and my mouth dropped open. There were so many elegant dresses to choose from! Katie, Angelina, and I all grinned at each other and began to pick dresses. I headed to the nearest rack of long dresses. However, out of all the dresses that were there, I only found three I wanted to try on.

The first one was a ruby red dress that went all the way down to my feet, with a sweetheart neckline filled with gold cut gems. It was beautiful! The second one was a deep purple, that went down to my feet as well, but was an off the shoulder strap. The third one was turquoise with silver cut diamonds. I told the girls that I was ready, and they came to try on their selections as well.

First up was Katie, and it only took her one try to find hers. She picked a dark pink princess cut dress with silver accents. It looked absolutely gorgeous on her. I smiled and looked at her and said " Katie, that's the one!" Angelina added "You look absolutely amazing!" She blushed and replied "Well, that didn't take long!"

Next was Angelina, who scored hers on the first try as well. She came out in a greenish-blue dress with gold accents along the sweetheart neckline. We grinned at her and she said " Well it looks like I've found mine!" Katie nodded and said "Okay, 'Chelle! Your turn!"

I smiled and walked into the fitting room. The first one I tried was the deep purple dress. I looked in the mirror and cringed at the sight. The dress completely washed me out! So, I took it off without showing the girls. Next, I put on the turquoise dress and went out to show the girls. they smiled at me, and said " It's definitely pretty, but I want to see the red one on you!" Katie nodded in agreement. So I went back in and changed into the ruby red dress. As soon as I looked in the mirror, I knew I had found it. I walked out of the fitting room, and Katie's and Angelina's jaws dropped. They both started tearing up and Katie said " Oliver won't be able to keep his eyes off you!" I blushed and said "Okay, let me change so we can go pay!" After we paid, we went and ate lunch at the three broomsticks. We talked and laughed, and shared stories. I was so glad that I have them. It has been such a great day.
